Original Post: Hello everyone! As a DM myself, I know how important generic maps are and so I bring you the River Crossroads!
An old stone bridge dangles over this rushing river on a road which heads deeper into the misty woods. The road is less traveled to the north and south and the ruins of an old building has been reclaimed by nature.
As always, for my patrons I have created this in the following variants:
- Grid / Gridless
- Day / Night
- Rain / No Rain
- No Fog Version

Hey Darrell, that is a great suggestion. I have been trying to include more .png files for assets and roofs but have not consider doing it for entire forests. I will have to think about my approach to building these maps out as I will have to change some stuff. Let me see how much effort it would take to separate the tree layer from the main map. I'm working on another forest map currently and trying a new approach which "flattens" all the trees to the texture layer so I can paint deeper shadows on them. Looks great, but I'm afraid that approach makes it so I cannot separate out the trees from the ground layer. However, with that said, let me play around with some things and see if I can make it work. If I can, I will come back here and update the file to include a tree image .png.

2021-10-05 16:24:17 +0000 UTCI <3 your maps! I had a cool thought, maybe I’m not the first to mention. Would be interesting to treat the forest canopy like a roof, so folks who use foundry can have the tops of trees go transparent when PC’s are under them and they can see the forest floor!
