If you decide to watch the live action ill definitely watch along I actually really liked it granted there are some changes made compared to the the animated series but that was to be expected tbh so I do hope you react to it 😊

2024-03-07 21:19:09 +0000 UTCUpdate on this: the more I hear (and see) of the live-action, the more it appears… not good. 😭 I will die on a hill for some of the casting choices (Arden Cho my BELOVED) and that they’re by and large better than *that* movie, but given the writers’ departure and the special effects I’ve seen, I’m starting to think this is a show that just can’t be adapted. I’d still do a morbid curiosity watch though, especially with you.

The trailer for the live action got me very hyped and and my expectations are freakin high(the casting is on point tho) Honestly i don't get the people already talking bad about the live action bc it's literally not out yet... anyways Personally I'd finish book one of the animation first but do whatever you want, either way i'll be here ^^

I also agree though, you might want to get a bit more ahead before you start it because so many more things happen. Also, Katara showing up and saying shit when she doesn't know anything is a very Katara thing to do lol OMFG how did I never realize the dad was captain gantu I feel like a failure

I will say that based on the pre-established casting it is entirely possible that they’re doing more than just the first book for the first season (makes sense I guess, considering the episodes will likely be twice as long) or combining/altering plots a bit — and there’s only three weeks until the premiere, so I don’t think you’ll be introduced to a few key characters quite yet. BUT, if you only do one live-action episode at a time or don’t plan on starting as soon as it drops, you might be pacing neck and neck!
