God, I've had this done twice too (one nail now never grows back... it's weird) because of trampolining/gymnastics. I didn't mind the surgery, the anesthetic however? Suuuuuuper fun having that crammed in between your toe bones, most pleasant experience of my life, 10/10 would recommend to serial killers and people who put the milk in first in anything.

They can do something so they dont grow back. My brother had a chronic proablem with ingrown toenails (all of them) so now he has none.

My husband had to get an ingrown toenail removed. Twice. The same toe. I was with him both times. The first time, I couldn't look without wanting to puke. Last time, though, I had an odd fascination with it and couldn't keep my eyes off it.

I have issue with side-ingrown toenails, I actually have to remove a large chunks of the nails about once a year... and I do it by myself. no need paying doctors so much if I can do it on my own. (And I have to confirm, the procedure is not for sensitive people, especially that you need to remove a piece of root of the nail for it to work.

Omg. Omg. Me and my brother had ingrown toe nails almost all our lives. My mom used to put cotton in our toes or take us to get pedicures so that they could clip it right and the ladies would always swarm around me and point and talk in Chinese and I would sit there crying from pain. We both had surgery a while back, but my brother recently had to get his removed too!!!!!! Omg I can’t believe other ppl have this problem!!!!!!!! It makes me feel,,,,,better. I’m not alone 🥲. But sorry for ur pain lol!!

ive had this exact thing done to my 1 big toe... but it wasnt done right so i had to have it done a few times before it stopped growing into my skin

Hopefully it doesn’t but if it does, the procedure is honestly very quick and relatively painless. The most painful part is the Novocain injections but after that you feel nothing 😅

Holy cow, I cracked up hard at the don't look ordeal. I've had ingrown toenails pretty badly too; the one side I could easily remove, the other one I couldn't and got infected to a degree. I don't care to look at that stuff but oh lordy, my dad does. He watched my first time I had it done, then the second time and unfortunately he told me what they did both times. I love my dad, but dang I wanted to deck him for telling me that stuff.

I've been through the same thing, lucky only on 1 toe. But the idiot I went to the first 5 times left a piece of toe nail in my skin so finally went to another guy and got both my toes taken care of with 2 surgeries.
