Copyright/Patreon violation

Definitely contact youtube about copyright violation. Then post them yourself?

People are asshats with no respect. They steal artwork all the time. Do what you gotta do man. This is your work and part of your income. Obviously by the comments, it's still up, and that can make others ultimately decide to not pay the $1 to see your comics because they can get them free. I see people complain all the time they don't have money ( one artist cost $3 per month) and my gosh you should hear the whinning because the ones that they get for free are safe for the web. Respect the artist.

I found you because someone keeps posting your work on Imgur. I didn't feel good not giving you the support so I looked you up. You're not that hard to find. Dude - Sue Away. Send them a cease and desist notice first. This free-for-all idea that all Creative works are just there for the taking has got to stop. It's been incremental and won't stop until we who do creative work start putting our feet down. I get content scrapers on my blog and have found my blog posts word for word on someone else's blog. Low-creative and Low-ethics people do this until they are caught. Consequences matter.

What's bad is if you check their about section, it claims the comics in the videos are either done by them, OR "Any other content is either licensed or uploaded with absolute permission from the artists as way of promoting their work" 'Absolute permission'

I watched one of these....then I felt guilty. So I subscribed here. :)

A friend of mine told me that you should just contact YouTube about your content that’s on the account of the person Kyoto who’s using your patroen stuff. They will put all revenue into a side account so that you get all of the income from any views to that persons YouTube account. The only recourse for the patreon stuff being used on facebook and imgur or instagram is to report it as theft of intellectual property which will get it removed quickly and it might lead to the information on whose taking the patreon stuff and sharing it anyways. They probably should he removed from patreon anyways if they’re just going to steal and share intellectual property.

I have to say, I literally JUST subbed to YOUR patreon like 10 minutes ago... Mainly because Im not much for patreon and only subbed to a close friend and an artist I admire so much. Plus I HAVE to make every penny count lately... However Pixie and Brutus comics make my day and seeing em pop up on youtube makes me happy. Seeing this however, I know for sure I must have seen videos from KYOTO and, well... It saddens me that the person in question is basically stealing revenue. Still, despite not knowing about this, I went on and subbed here so I guess that's a thing?

Props for you on at least trying to get them to do the right thing. If they havent responded by now take the crowds advice and contact someone about making a “cease and desist” letter. If they are persistant, maybe collude with others whose content was stolen.

I just learned this yesterday too, I'm guessing that's to stop or help prevent cult-like actions against someone/content that could be legitimate. I remember those dark days on YouTube, someone popular didn't like another content creator? They'd sic their followers after them and the reporting system would act autonomously based on how many flags a channel or video got in a given timeframe.

Also, could you perhaps watermark your comics saying they are from Patreon? People who see the comic will then know the comics were posted without artist’s consent

Please let us know if you find them. The only person I show is my boyfriend(hope that’s ok) and that’s because we show content of our patrons to each other because we are poor. But I told all my friends to support this because the comics are great and they are missing out.

I was just browsing YouTube and came across this video. I left them a comment telling them to take down their videos of patreon exclusive content. Doubt they’ll listen. Then I looked at my emails and saw this. This is just wrong. I know another person I follow on patreon had a similar issue but they just assumed that there was nothing they could do. this is very bad, but i actually must confess i became a patreon after i was on facebook one day and a random page i follow shared another page that posted the patreon comics, i did not know they were from patreon until i checked the comments telling to please delet them. i thought "f**k this, i'm becoming a patreon, the guy deserves it"

Looking at it, I would assume this isn't the first time they've done this to someone. It's a fairly new channel (Jan of this year) with over 3 mil views already. I am betting they have had other channels that have been shut down from copyright violations. You should be able to report infringement and the content would be pulled pending Youtubes' investigation.
