i am so happy looking at the comments here and finding my people! i also have a moonchild tattoo, my first one. this song changed my life. it gave me a whole other perception of my situation when i was in a low and dark place. mono helped me through a lot.

I know the LGBTQ community has because they feel like they have to hide their real selves until the night comes. As well as the dopeoldpeople community. Because even though night is coming we can take this time to be our true selves. It's such a great song. I'm already planning my Moonchild tattoo. A bonsai tree for Joon with a full moon in it's branches for me. I can't wait to get it!

Think of a city skyline in the middle of the night and how "beautiful" it is. But then you think about what makes up a night skyline. It might be some good things, like people celebrating, but isn't it mostly people working late, taxi drivers that might prefer to be home with their families, people driving in the middle of the night to get somewhere they need to be, people who can't fall asleep at night.

It was in one of the documentaries you guys watched and it showed Joon nervous during the interviews and he was like "it's out!" Lolll I think the scene after was Jin and Hobi in the elevator with him say congratulations. I can't remember now which episode lol 💜

I remember moonchild was one of the first songs I heard at beginning of my army journey. My emo self loved it and the entire album instantly. It’s such a beautifully comforting collection of thoughts from Namjoon. So relatable and special 🖤

But with RM and the BTS guys I finally did it. They sing about things that go beyond romantic love or the superficiality of the world. They sing about vulnerability, loneliness, friendship, love in all its forms, fear, expectations, the monsters we all have, about hope, youth, beauty, etc. They sing to life and humanity and that is why they have so many fans of so many different ages.
