I can't imagine how they're feeling right now with all of the old allegations, rumors, and lies being brought up again because of the Min Hee Jin situation. With all of them in the military, I would think it would make them feel even more powerless. It makes me want to go throw hands with all of the ugly people trying to cause trouble and take BTS (and the label) down with false accusations.

2024-05-01 07:34:14 +0000 UTCi don't know if its brought up to you but jimin mentioned on YOU QUIZ ON THE BLOCK that he wasn't actually in the lineup for bts becaue he joined just 6-8 months before their actual debut so he didnt recieve vocal lessons at the start so he just tagged along with v and jk and learnt it and even in their recent DOCU SERIES on disney bang pd said he wasnt very sure about debuting jimin cause he thought jimin was not yet ready but he was happy to be proved wrong but from this you can see how hard jimin must have worked

My heart had a little happy moment to see a relatively new audience (even though ya'll just passed your one year army anniversary) see BTS on the same level as the Beatles because god knows that the western music industry has belittled them since they've arrived in America and continue to view them as a phase that will likely pass in a few years (which has been a constant theme of "they'll break up just like all other boy groups, it's inevitable" and yet BTS continue to prove them wrong). BTS themselves have still talked about their fear of having the fame leave them - even as recent as 2022 before their enlistments - and I strongly believe it's due to the lack of respect and sincerity they've received from the West in terms of award shows (ahem Grammys) and even song charts (i.e. billboard adding new song rules/requirements to stop certain songs from charting/eligibility). Before they all enlisted, they still referred to their fear of Army forgetting them while they were gone and hoping to see them in 2025. All that being said, I really hope we can cement it into their minds that they are truly legends who deserve to go down in time. Their work ethic, lyrics, skills, and dedication to their craft are that of full time musicians who live and breathe music clear as day. It's sad to see that POC in the western industry are still unsure of their own stance and skill level when constant (negative) comments are being thrown at them to the point where self doubt can quickly set in. Truly always wishing all the best for the boys and I hope they can see just how legendary they are.

One of the reason why I love them so much. Funnily enough, every album release always hit too close as if it was my own story (maybe bcs i’m their age).. struggle about schools, parents and societal expectations, then losing n finding yourself..bts really taught me how to love myself. Looking back I literally grow up with them ever since 2013 🥹

I remember in an award show (when BTS weren’t able to attend) they won an award and played this song + lyrics on the big screen in front of all the idols and kpop fans there. That song has such a deep and heartbreaking meaning. It means so much to army and BTS. I know it’s a hidden track but I still wish it was on streaming platforms lol :( 💜

But just some very important context for those who may not know as they are new etc because I’ve seen people before comment that Tae didn’t look happy or that he was grumpy cause of the dress but it didn’t have anything to do with the dress etc… (a lot of his wardrobe is gender neutral, he also used to do drag competitions in his school - talked about this in a written interview.) Just before the time the dance practice was filmed, in early oct 2017 tragically his good celebrity friend, a model & dj Lee Ui Soo died tragically from suicide. Tae was close to him and had posted videos of them playing games together before… (it didn’t help that this was in such a short space of time after his grandmas death and that he also was still grieving her too (who helped bring him up and he lived with for 14-16 years. She passed sep 2016.) My heart always feels for Tae watching this, but as always he’s such a good sport. Also it seemed the dance practice was a method of cheering him up as they just came up with the idea shortly before. That’s day they also had puma fan signing hence why they were still dressed in Puma. Their schedule was so so so busy. Fun tidbit: Tae even wanted to be Harley Quinn for Halloween prom party in 2015 but wasn’t allowed) Coming to Sea… it still one of those songs that stays with me… Army have used it as a slogan at the end of their concerts too and it’s been so moving. It’s also why the desert scene in the yet to come MV was so special. Thanks for this lovely reaction. 💜

2024-04-30 19:17:54 +0000 UTCThey went through so much… idk if yall keep up with things happening in the fandom but right now it’s crazy in south korea and HYBE… there’s so much going on and among all the mess, bts is once again in the middle of all the attacks and accusations even tho they did nothing wrong. people are accusing them of saejegi (chart manipulation) and cult participation. when i say people, i mean the kpop fans who are basically fans of all the other groups in kpop (but not bts, cause they’re all bts antis). BigHit posted on weverse yesterday how the amount of malicious posts and accusations is much bigger than before and they said they’ll take legal action against them and also will hire another law firm specifically for this case. Hybe also released a statement denying everything and said they’ll also take legal measures. It went so far that even the University in SK that bts members attended had to step up and post a statement saying they’ll sue people for spreading the cult misinformation. It is believed among everyone that it is an organized smear campaign in order to get the people of SK to be against bts (since they’re in the military they cannot defend themselves or speak up so they want to use this moment to lie and try to destroy them). It’s a very serious thing in SK now and even some news channels are reporting on it (but they’re reporting only negative things because some news outlets and media in SK were always like that towards bts since they didnt come from “The big 3”) The thing is that chart manipulation case was already cleared back then in 2016 and 2019 (you also saw it in those “introduction to bts” videos) and is also such a hilarious thing to hear to be honest since they’re the most organic group in the kpop🤣 and the cult thing is just a made up rumor… Idk, but korean ARMYs are saying that the attacks on them are big these days online because people and news outlets are getting paid by other companies to spread that rumor. That’s why we never like other kpop fandoms or even have the desire to support other groups, since they’re all very very very mean towards bts and they quite literally despise them bc of the jealousy and how successful they are. Btw the company CEO of Ador (label of NewJeans under Hybe) said how she visited shamans because she wanted to see bts away. she said how bts being in the military would benefit her and her group so she wants them away. This tells you that even the CEOs who are under hybe don’t like bts and try to do everything to sabotage them.
