The ending of the BU (Help us decide HOW)

Just curious, have they ever said that they planned to do the webtoons as a vid? I would love to see their reactions to that! The BU is so intriguing. It is worth going through. They said from jump Street they want to go down the BTS journey....it would be sad if they couldn't finish the BU properly because of ppl complaining.

But I do agree with a comment I read somewhere way above me, to watch xceleste afterwards because there’s so many pieces of the BU scattered about on different media platforms and she helps visually piece it all together IMO. The performances of the boys have always been top notch since their debut but it was the BU era with ‘I need you’ when things started changing for them, there is a reason why that era was so special and why their 2025 comeback will be a 10yr anniversary celebration of that era, of course newer content will have more views than their older stuffs, this is CCW journey of becoming an army if views is what matters then no point in having this convo.. Also the poll clearly shows what army wants..🤷🏻‍♀️

Personally I love the BU 😂 but that could be because I was deep in the trenches of finding Easter eggs and chasing theories as it was happening. I think catching up with the XCeleste video makes sense to give both you and your viewers invested in it closure, especially since we suspect we’ll get more lore with the comeback (And the Begin Youth drama - though I don’t think anyone will pressure you guys to keep up with that). That way you can wrap up or decide how you want to continue moving forward also.

Option one is to finish the BU as planned and add the xcelete video. Option two is finish the BU as planned (finishing with the mots vid) and then moving on to other bts content

I'm also personally of the opinion that fans place too much weight on content created by other fans rather than officially released content. I've never seen the xceleste video for the BU and don't feel as if I've missed out on anything because I consume all of BTS' content. I know that's a personal thing though. I do think you guys should do whatever you feel best doing BUT I think the way ya'll have been doing the BU content with a little summary at the end and links to the notes/other outside material provided by BH makes the most sense. Especially since you'll watch the Xceleste video on your own anyway afterward with that option.

in my understanding, one option is to skip watching the rest of the BU (at least on camera) and just watch the Xceleste video OR continue with how they've been doing it and afterwards they'll watch the Xceleste video (but with this option, they wouldn't be recording their reaction to the Xceleste vid).

Can you clarify? I guess I’m confused with the options. You have to watch xceleste’s video no matter what. Even if you watch all of the BU content (which you can’t, bc some of the story unfolds in posters and concert VCRs that were before where you already are in the story, and real-world events like the seoul pop up flower shop) and read all of the story parts (two full books and a webtoon and some game inserts plus an official Twitter acct who tweeted new notes a couple of years ago), you won’t be able to piece the story together without Celeste’s video. Like I said, I had 50 pages of notes on the BU and still didn’t quite *get it* until Celeste’s video. I assumed one option was “finish the BU content ourselves and then watch Celeste” or “skip the BU content and just watch Celeste.” Does the option where you finish the BU content you planned not end with Celeste’s video too?

Eventually the album reviews will return and i cant wait for your reaction to the LY series. Its a major turning point for bts. Agree. I don't understand the hype with BU at all and don't think it's really that important in their journey. I mean..now that there's fewer content from BTS (coz they're in the military), fans would prefer to rewatch their contents like in the soop or run bts, and not BU. Feel like weeks have been wasted on that, considering that we only get like one ep of a show every 1 or 2 weeks..

I have been ARMY since 2016, and am one of the "theorist armys" who love to piece things together. I am BU ARMY, so I am predisposed to love this stuff. I would have preferred if you told us what the 7 vids were vs. the XCeleste one, so I could choose better. However, I fully support YOUR OWN experience of the BU. You can watch the xceleste one in your own time, even if not filmed. I know, you will refer to it anyway during commentaries down the line, since it is the more condensed version (as lengthy as it is, it is still a summary). I picked a choice.... But something is questionning me.. The BU is a very large philosophical essay expanded through years and albums, that talk about important topics from different angles and characters but in the end it was meant to make the viewer and listner reflect and consider those angles.... It was pleasant watching you react to it but I had the feeling you're taking it lightly, watching, trying to connect elements and reading the summaries as planned I guess, but I don't know if you're really interested with the way you introduced yourselves to the BU (already saw Summer and Daniel yawning - tired I guess - and Gab looking elsewhere), not a complain tho but I wish you're watching because you're hooked and interested in growing through the experience and the reflection, and not only for ARMY's sake.... Any of the two options you finally choose its ok with me. It's your journey to discover BTS, so nobody can decide better than you. But, personally, I have voted for the option of xCeleste video because I think it is the perfect video to complete all the BU reactions. This is a great video and explain many details that help to understand this complex story, and, of course, many Armys we would love to see you react to it. The BU is an essential part in the BTS career that differentiates them from the rest of K-pop groups, so I think it is important and fun to react it. Thank you so much CCW.

I'd say the xceleste's video is worth the watch, especially with ya'lls approach to the BU. Like many have said, the bts mv's and short films only give so much info and really all the meat and potatoes are in the notes and webtoon series, which we won't be able to see your reactions to, so her explanation video will wrap all that up in decently neat bow (we'll never stop having questions lol). I've enjoyed watching your BU reactions, makes me feel like I'm returning to my baby army roots. It feels like the magic and wonder of the BU isn't as alive with newer army since the content is a bit older, so this takes me back. Thanks for your efforts ya'll! 💜

i think watching xceleste’s videos would be a great way of capping it off. i know you guys mentioned reading the notes, but not sure if you were gonna read the webtoon. i think xceleste covers all that, so it will better your understanding! since we’re already on the bu journey, i feel like it would make sense to just watch it now rather than waiting to watch it, just because everything will still be fresh in your mind. it’s also your bts journey! do what you think is best :) you’re watching everything the way you are now because it makes the most sense to you guys. i’m personally okay with waiting because any type of bts content is cool with me. all the other types of content aren’t going anywhere either.

Maybe some of you guys want to have some time to digest every info you just got and explore at your own pace the rest (the webtoons and the notes), and then come back with what you learned and watch the xceleste video only then to compare notes basically. I came into ARMY in 2018 and the BU blew my mind. I'd never seen anything like it with regard to the complexity and the multi-media delivery. I have a document that's 50 pages, single-spaced full of my notes on the BU. I think every ARMY should explore it. It's been a while since we've had new content for it so I think a lot of newer ARMYs don't have the emotional attachment to it that ARMYs who were around for the Wings and/or Love Yourself era have for it and that's a shame because they really don't know what they're missing. I think, if you plan to watch the HYYH k-drama that's coming out, you have to do the BU in full. But if not, XCeleste's video is a good short cut. Especially if you don't plan to read the Notes (which is two full books) or read the Webtoon. Her video isn't perfect so you will have questions (get your admin to tell you about the white cat first), but it'll tell you the story and give you a decent idea of the scope of it. But if you do skip the BU, try to take note not just of the story but of the originality of the delivery, the complexity of the story, and yeah, the scope of it all. It's such a tangled, detailed web and if you don't spend time really digging in yourself, you miss a lot of (less important but) really interesting easter eggs. So even if you're missing them, know they're there and understand how much work went into the BU. How much foresight and intricacy and planning it took to put together. It's such a unique, innovative, impressive feature of BTS' artistry and discography. It's so central to their early success and almost every kpop group in the game has a hidden storyline like it now.

What we rnt gonna do here is bash the summary writer. Her and CCW spoke on what information they wanted to receive. And for the most part they wanted to figure most of it out on their own. Also not every summary they got was shown or read on camera. It’s a ton of info and ccw can’t be expected to remember or say it all in a vid. I think watching the xCeleste video after you explore the BU on your own will help piece some of the puzzle together as it pulls apart direct sources of information which are crucial to the storyline without making it super confusing. The video showcases the main pieces of information and also leaves room for interpretation as there are some holes within the story that have yet to be explored. I have heard some Primos say that they'd rather not like a reaction to this explanation video as it puts forward a specific theory, however i think it would be really fun and interesting to see your perspective on the other theory's of the BU that are out there. But also in saying this, i personally don't believe xCeleste's explanation is her own theory in any way, rather it just showcases the information that army's have been presented with, how they link together and where it fits within the storyline. Again, it would be a good refresher to watch after your personal BU journey (in this case after Map of The Soul), considering how much information overload the BU is. I really hope you guys react to it!

Some of you need to chill when OP was only giving their opinion on not wanting the video like everyone else here who is pro xceleste video? Not everyone is wanting more and more BU and that’s fine? The summary writer does work hard and just because ccw didn’t get it or missed some things does not mean she doesn’t do a good job. It’s understandable if you want the explanation video for them to get more information, but what we shouldn’t do is say the summary writer is bad at her job… some things are missed or forgotten.

please please react to the xceleste video! i love going on these journeys with reactors finding out about the bu for the first time and watching your guys' reactions and theories has been a blast! i think the xceleste video does a great job of explaining everything the best they can (with what is available to us lol). personally i dont think the journey will be complete without getting to hear your final thoughts and witnessing your "aha!" moments, thats the best part haha <3

I honestly found a lot of the complaints in the comments section of the BU reactions really whiny and rude, and I'm disappointed that they feel pressured - again - to shift how they are doing things because of people complaining.

Everytime something comes out ARMY finds a way to connect it to the BU. Its just for fun but sometimes its like but wait that makes sense. Lmao. So the theories are never ending. Haha.

personally, i think u should watch xceleste videos after the whole BU journey for a final wrap up yk? create your own theories and at least experience the BU similar to the way armys experienced it when it dropped in real time. i hope that made sense ?😊

But latly i only enjoyed the Break the silence and Run BTS Videos. But do what you want to do and what you are enjoying. It's still your journey.

respectfully, the summary’s weren’t doing the BU any justice since they glossed over lots of important key points during certain events. and some were just not explained right, i believe it would be nice to just watch the guide since it won’t hurt anyone and it’ll be a fun video for them.

BTS HYYH era is a very special era for the boys and army. I do believe diving more deep into it would be very fun and benefits the whole experience of understanding the depths of bts artistry and work. you guys seem to be having a very fun time making theories and connecting dots, it’s almost as if hyyh is unfolding right in your eyes in real time all over again. fan made guide videos like xcelestes are very helpful and informative, she even adds the most popular theories that were circulating around that era. people in the comments are acting as if dan made content is not just as informative as official content. guide and theory videos made by fans are one of the biggest backbones for things like these, and i genuinely believe y’all would actually like it since Xceleste goes into a more deeper and complex dive. at the end, i would love to hear your takes and impressions on the BU.

When it comes to polls, I always say go with whichever is the most convenient for you or what suits you best. It is your time after all. The Xceleste video is a good supplement if you find yourselves still needing some help to get a better grasp of the storyline after going through your resource list.

not all Armys explored the BU. you dont need to dive deep into it with CCW if you have no interest at all, and that's understandable. but there are also Armys who are BU enthusiasts and would want CCW to fully enjoy this BU journey with them up to its end. you can always pick which to watch and which to skip.

I’ve never gotten into the BU and I still am not now but it’s been cool to just see your reactions and while yall are on this, Wednesdays with the docuseries have been what I look forward to most along with the run episodes. I really don’t mind either way. I think xceleste’s video is great for explaining and connecting the events of the BU but it also just focuses on that. IMO the real magic of the BU is not simply the events of the lore but the themes they are portraying. Themes of youth and growing up before you’re ready, relationships and lost love, found family, trauma and how to live with it. It’s what connects the lore to the music so beautifully. Just something to keep in mind, whatever you end up doing.

I think the Xceleste video has good explanations and breakdowns. It helped me put a lot of pieces together. But at the end of the day. You can do what's best for you guys.

Since you all seem so genuinely invested in the lore I know you'd really appreciate the explanation video to tie all those loose ends and properly close the chapter.

I’m not sure what they have planned but I think they already know majority of what’s in the video except for the stuff in the webtoons so I think that watching the video would be a fun experience as a lot of things click. I don’t think Xcelestes video contains much stuff from the Love Yourself: Tear album but I could be wrong.
