We have a special announcement to give everyone!
If you've followed our journey over on ATLA, you may have already seen us talk about the future of Friday with the Cousins. We know the vast majority of you didn't watch on Fridays so we wanted to have a dedicated post detailing everything.
BACKSTORY
When we started this channel at the very beginning, we were hoping to discover new things including shows/music/movies/etc. As everyone obviously knows, we were not prepared for the world of BTS that awaited us. We continued to do shows (ATLA, HOTD) and Trailers on our channel but it didn't take long for us to realize that the Bangtan 7 needed their own space 😊
WHAT'S NEXT
So with all that said, moving forward, CCW will be a BTS exclusive channel and we will no longer be posting non BTS TV show reactions to this channel. We actively follow analytics and we know the grand vast majority of our viewers are not on CCW platforms for the non BTS videos. Of course that doesn't mean we won't be doing those reactions. "D&F" will be an entirely separate entity with it's own Youtube Channel / Patreon / Discord.
It was very important to us for this channel to not take anything away from CCW. Speaking of which...
HOW DOES THIS AFFECT CCW?
It absolutely doesn't! We have been pretty open about our schedules and limited availability when it comes to filming. This is still very much the case. This channel will be ran by Daniel independent of CCW's schedule. You will of course, see some individual CCW members join on occasion as schedule permits, but this was designed to exist alongside the CCW channel without affecting any of our videos here or on Patreon.
WHAT'S ON FRIDAYS NOW?
Fridays now become an open day for CCW so the possibilities are endless. Of course we are still constricted by our availability to film, so it isn't as simple as adding a new CCW weekly. But, we will be using Fridays to slot in certain videos such as Mail Mondays, Early Access Videos, & the occasional Bonus Patreon Video.

Groups like The Normies or Blindwave charge $15-$25 for that content. Smaller channels like GeekedOutNation Charges $15.00. If you're paying for CCW's BTS content here and then for their TV show/Movie content on their other page, you would still be paying less than the average Patreon/movie commentary channel. I understand the change being the major problem for you. Because instead of gaining something, you're actually losing something since you watched both content here for one price. BUT, they were losing out by only charging $5.00 for all of that tbh. It wasn't fair on them to begin with.

I've been on a few over time, and that's very much the norm. Would I prefer more, absolutely. It'd be way more bang for my buck. But given that it's the average, I don't hold CCW to some incredibly high standard to exceed it. I'd LOVE if they would, but eh. It's the average. And I absolutely agree. They invest time, effort, resources, etc. It's literally a small business and they ofc should make a profit. It doesn't make them any less genuine, in the same way bts aren't any less genuine about their work despite making millions from their content.

Patreons are typically used for either exclusive content, early release content (before it goes to YT much later), or both. CCW uses it for both, and mail content is a YT video that we get "early access" to. (Side note: I see that CCW inaccurately wrote "early access to... music reactions", which I think they should change to just "early access to videos". Which would be more accurate since Run BTS is also released on YT later) Also I won't comment on whether I think it's "worth" or not, but I will say I've been on other army reactor patreons, and tbh 3 videos is the average.

2024-04-04 01:57:40 +0000 UTCAfter really taking a look at the schedule and reading all the comments on the mail videos here I have to agree with some people… I don’t have a problem with mail videos because I 100% understand why you do them, I have to agree though that using them as a Patreon perk when it’s not listed as one in the tier system isn’t a great way to go. Why is it being used as a perk when that’s not what people are coming in to pay for? Also how did we go from 5 videos on Patreon to 3-4 after bday weeks? I remember a whole discussion on that in discord and then we saw a good amount of Patreon content to fit the price and now we’re back to where we were before. The ones that Don’t watch the mail videos are only getting 3 videos this week.

It's them telling us they're going to be separating the content. They're not greedy, they're investing their time and time is priceless so why not get something out of it? Everyone on YT and Patreon does the same thing, why are you trying to call them out on something everybody does?

CCW does a lot and spoils us with content pretty much the entire week. Also, I'm assuming they divide the income and they are 4 people / two families even though they enjoy reacting to Bangtan they're also investing their time here and have been professional about their channel (more than many) they have taken it very seriously so it's simply fair they get some profit out it, they're basically entertainers at this point 🤷🏻♀️ With all due respect and I really don't mean to sound rude but, if you are not okay with the content provided you can cancel your subscription at any time they can't and won't force you to stay, the channel keeps growing every day. Put your money on something that meets your expectations...

I either just left quietly, or in one instance where I RLY liked the channel, I stayed for a while to comment my respectful feedback/questions– but since my preferences weren't met, I soon left. Now it's not my problem lol (And I feel like I should say, my preferences were not high at all lol. That reactor was undeniably a genuine army, they just had terrible time management and grew increasingly inconsistent lol. Great army, but bad business owner lol. But I left, so it's not my problem anymore. I'll watch their YT for free.) Another option which I've done is unsubscribed to a Patreon for most of the year, then subscribe for one month to binge their library. So like you, I'm not sure why primos here who are EXTREMELY dissatisfied and calling the creators "lazy, greedy," etc want to stay. No one is making them.

This is what this Patreon channel has established, and so mail videos are considered for Patreon, in the "early access" perk category. Just like they've been releasing various live performances and Run eps on YT. And given the consistent likes ratio, I'm sure "99%" of viewers would've voted to replace ATLA fridays with a bts reaction, if CCW put up such a poll before starting ATLA. But alas, this is what they decided to use their channel for. So subscribers can share feedback but it's their decision in the end.

They average hundreds of likes here (way more than ATLA, a series i LOVE), and 1000s of views on YT. Cancelling mail mondays would disappoint many who enjoy watching, + many who like to send in mail and see how their gifts/letters were received. As well, it's not like mail mondays are a weekly recording. They happen once every few weeks or months, so it's not like cancelling a video they record once every few months would drastically allow for more friday recordings.

The other reactors I watch always say this to show support. And to say they buy the BV's they also get money for us to watch them..don't get me wrong l enjoy their channel l just wish they would try a little harder suggesting that their viewers to stream new videos and songs and vote for BTS when they can.

The only things going on the patreon are polls, discord, uncut, schedule, early access, and blocked commentary. You’re only going to miss out on the blocked videos, which by the way is a dollar a month.

Friday w/ the Cousins has been such a lucky coincidence for me, bc I LOVE the original ATLA series! I'm not rly into anime so I don't see myself subbing to the new Patreon. But I don't have any complaints so long as it doesn't lessen the CCW bangtan content we get. I do hope there are more Friday videos than not, but I'm sure you'll do your best. Fighting! 💜

Also, "visited Korea Market" doesn't equate to it in my personal opinion considering they get a lot of freebies. 2024-04-02 05:57:45 +0000 UTC@Alice Smith are those other reaction channels just one reactor? or a married pair in one house? or two friends? or a group of friends who have to drive to another house? coordinate the drive? are they full-time reactors, or do they have day jobs? are their day jobs time consuming? do they have kids/dependents to take care of and/or schedule sitters? is their video style with a lot of fun edits, or just raw reactions? do they edit themselves, or hire an editor? so many factors play into each individual's reaction channel's output. i know of plenty who are on the "slower" side but are just as genuinely passionate about the content. you seem to only watch reaction channels that are very fast– that's great for them! but some ppl also love reactors who happen to be "slower"

Like how are y’all mad at how these adults run their channel?I get that you won’t get the one reaction per week on this channel that you were getting but isn’t that series over? Furthermore that was never promised to continue. In fact nothing is ever promised. You can stay or leave with all due respect but sitting up calling these adults out for what they do with their time is so beyond strange. If I’m not mistaken this was always primarily a BTS channel with sprinklings of other content on the side. Sorry if you’re that upset but just leave because it’s not even that serious folks. 😒

All I’m gonna say is that they were quick to abandon those supporters who watch more than BTS. The only reason armys are being kept happy is because the money they bring in. They don’t care about BTS, Armys or their “primos”. And it’s clear by the decisions THEY ARE CHOOSING TO MAKE THEMSELVES. They care about what can make them the most money. CCW only meets once a week (usually on Sunday, sometimes Saturday) cause that is the only time the 4 of us can physically sit down and film. New channel will be filming random times during the week without having to juggle 4 schedules.
