RUN BTS EP 40

Comments

24:50 he was trying

Anny_ lokah

It would be fun if the girls watched k dramas together and the guys watched anime @ Columbiacousinsreact

Tia Farleigh

daniel you asked if V is a lefty .... he's ambidextrous he plays sports both left and right handed ,,,, so cool

Butifi7

The thing you guys said in the beginning about the new born baby being 2 years old actually happened to Tae since he's born december 30th and was considered 1 at birth and then two days later he "turned" 2 years old 😂

RM

Hi I look forward to your reactions every week. Am i hearing right you don't like black eye peas you just need a good recipe

Angela McDonald

Jimin used bolt font 😆😆😆😆 that was a good laugh

pomichodddaaaii

The biggest difference between single and double consonants in Korean is that the double ones are not aspirated. They're sometimes called ''tensed'' consonants because of it! Also about Korean age, it's not legally a thing anymore but many people still use it. It's not as complicated as it might initially sound. Instead of counting how many birthdays have passed like we do, the Korean age counts the years (2022, 2023, 2024... not ''year'' as a period of time) that have been involved in your life. Say a child is born in December of 2022. They're already a year old, since 2022 is their ''first year''. When the year turns 2023, they turn two, because that's two different years that they've lived in. It's basically just one or two years added to your international age 😁

tannie misser

bowing is not part of the game they are just goofing around since its a show for entertainement the rule is to stay in position and not move when the tagger turns around -its explained in the rules

Shreya

Lmaoo heyyy

dulseokbangtan

Please do more run episodes during the week. I enjoy them a lot

Sadia Reina

omg i acc follow you on twt hey!

deejebekosmos⁷

Just want to remind y'all that Koreans always played "red light green light 123" squid games just added blood and gore.

Bangtanlicious

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Catarina

I'm confused at you guys being confused about some of the rules for the red light, green light game. They only changed two things. The rest is all the same as we do in red light, green light. Now I'm thinking back to my childhood wondering if we were playing differently than others. Lunar New Year is usually the full moon in February, so this year I would be 41. My fave korean food right now is the Korean Corn Dog. I discovered those thanks to a show Tae was on last year. And I live in NYC so it was easy to find and try.

Lashette

Yeah, I think overtime, red light green light turned into freeze tag then hide n seek became more popular. Another version of freeze tag is when kids play flag football, somewhat similar.

Emmy

Yeeees 💜these early ones are great and already the iconic episodes have started . They are nostalgic and sweet. But after a point ( around episodes 70 ) the episodes are just perfect. Each one is a hit and i cant wait to rewatch with ccw ☺️☺️ comedy gold

Nikolina

That’s what I thought so too but I remember stumbling upon a tweet a long time ago that explained how Tae was born left-handed but he trained his right hand to be equally as good. So now he’s able to write, hold, and grab things using either hand. Which leads me to believe that he’s ambidextrous.

melodella

I’m curious, is Taehyung ambidextrous or mixed handed? I’m left handed but I use my right hand for different tasks (left: eat, write, hold things / right: throw, use a mouse, etc.) so I have mixed handedness instead of being ambidextrous which means I can/would be able to do everything with both hands equally as good

gnuoyawh

When I was a child in the UK we used to call it Mr Wolf! The chaser was Mr Wolf and the participants would say to the following ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf ‘ and he would say something like three o clock which meant you took three steps, ten o clock, ten steps etc. When you were close, Mr Wolf could turn around and say ‘time for dinner’ and chase! I suppose there are many variations of the game. The most famous recently was the giant little girl in Squid Games, when she turned around and they moved they were killed. To me it was horrifying but people loved it. Jin put his hair in Pigtails like the doll in one of their last concerts in Las Vegas and had a bit of fun with the audience. The next night V enhanced on the theme wearing the Squid game guards uniform! I love K Drama but I must say this was not my cup of tea. Maybe you could have a category of K Drama songs the members have sung, I think you like them they are all brilliant. 💜💜💜💜

Alwena Willis

I believe SK is in the process of getting rid of the old aging system, and following the international (aka USA) one. so any time you see them talk about ages in old content, just know they're actually 1-2 years younger lol. like if JK says he's 25, he's probably 23/24

Seneca

it's crazy how consistently good the show is, + how consistently it gets better!! the production, games/themes, and the guys themselves at being entertainers etc haha the series takes some time to get its footing, but after it does, it's just full speed ahead but it's cool how even the rockier beginnings have iconic episodes 😆

Seneca

that was so funny LOL

Seneca

Didn't notice the light thing until Daniel mentioned it 😅

itsniky_m

Lol I lost it when Daniel said Jimin used bold font

Emmy

Also gen z, used to play it all the time at recess.

-Uyonn

i used to play it all the time during school and i’m an american and gen Z!! so i would say that it’s still a thing

yg enthusiast

I mean 42

Arla

Japan actually hasn't done lunar new year since the late 1800s. There may be remnants of it but nowadays New Year's is celebrated January 1-3.

Allie

ohh ok I understand.

Josanne Marcano

It's definitely a game played in the US. Maybe not anymore, but it was played when I was growing up in the 80s.

Tanya Attoh

Success wise no it was even greater, but mentally and physically it was the worst

Anija

Hi love from Trinidad and Tobago. When I was younger (I am 32 now) I used to play red light, green light a lot. Is it not normal child game in America?

Josanne Marcano

Yeah korean japan china celebrate new year differently date than the west they do it by the lunar year so if your 25 it doesn’t matter your birthday you will be 26 so 2 years older than the western standards in the west or globally you will be 24 instead of 26 in korea (they changed the aging system recently but most people still don’t really stick to it

Helen H

💜

ALIRIANA C SOUSA

Boa ideia 💡

ALIRIANA C SOUSA

Jungkook b boying cracks me up 😅😅 The episodes as they progress get better and better. Longer , funnier and the games are simpler with the guys enjoying them authentically.

Nikolina

They watched ep. 41 last week. It’s posted.

Ree

Yes! Just like me. I use my left to write but my right to cut with scissors and do some other things.

Vmin95

that's crazy 🤣

Dquiettype

Double 'tt' is different from a single 't' in Korean, and it rather sounds like 'dd' (for English speakers) if you want to try it :-) [impressionistically a strong 'd' maybe]. One more, I love you guys :-))

Curious MK

Taehung

Janet Wilson

Wasn't 2018 the bad year for BTS?

Janet Wilson

I love the yellow redbull. The only energy drink I will drink

Rikki Reed

Thanks for the reaction guys 😊. Really hoping you can add your reactions to run behind the scenes of the episodes as well. They are not too long and just as fun as the episodes, please 🙏

Rokm_

Regarding V being a leftie, this is partially true as he was born left-handed. However, he is actually ambidextrous as he uses his right hand equally as well as his left. He uses his right hand for signing autographs, both for tennis and holding his mic – he uses his left hand when he prefers to also (flipping a bottle, etc.) Someone correct me if I’m wrong!

melodella

Have yall eaten kbbq yet?? You would seriously love it!

katie

Dec 30 youre 1, jan 1st you're 2.

dulseokbangtan

Haha this is exactly what we were wondering!

CCW

The nose game, thats the quickest I seen Gabriel react 😂

PrettyJumpTree

Slightly off topic, but if you're going to react to the recent Hope on the Street release, could you please react to the title track Neuron! Thank you!

Stephanie O.

There are 154 run Bts episodes then the special episodes they released after so there is still a lot😅

Chim

Korea has actually recently dropped their age system and now go by international age

Zahraa

Since Taehyung was born on December 30th, he is considered to be 2 years old immediately after the new year, although he is only 2 days old lmao

Nesrin Dinç

The Korean age calculation is briefly as follows: If your birthday hasn't arrived this year, you will add 2 to your age, if your birthday has passed, only 1. Jin's birthday is on December 4, so his current age is 31, Korean age is 33, when his birthday comes, he will be 32, but the Korean age is still 33. When we enter the new year, 27 days after his birthday, the Korean age will automatically be 34, but his own age will still remain 32.

Nesrin Dinç

Yoongi does look really good in his hanbok. 🥰 I always think he looks extra handsome in Korean traditional clothing. The Daechwita MV was almost too much for my poor heart. The first game is my favorite; the members have so much fun teasing each other and goofing off. I love their dynamic when they get like this. Caught up in a silly game, goofing off. I 100% believe Taehyung begged the staff to wear that headpiece and then he and Jimin immediately came up with characters and backstories for themselves. You cannot convince me otherwise. I really want to know how many candles I would be able to blow out if I played that game. Is 22 candles a good number or are the other members just really bad at it? Is there a trick to it? I’m so curious about this one- I’d love to try, but I’m afraid I’d accidentally burn my house down in the attempt. Namjoon getting a little arrogant about his skills in the throwing game is adorable.

Ali

Koreans also have a tradition wherein they visit their elders during New Year and bow to them as gratitude and respect, and that's why Hobi mentioned that he has not bowed yet to his parents (which I am sure they did :D ), I love watching RUN BTS again with you, guys! Cant wait watching BV 4 and ITS again with you as well. Stay safe!

borahae BTS

Omg the next run bts ep is one of the funniest and one of my most favorite episodes 😍😍🤭 It also has a lot of classic bts memes hahahaha

Arla

oh actually with one year older, yeah i don't fully understand the korean age system before but i think they all got one older every new year, i mean they do have their birthdays as official celebration but yeah i think everyone get one older every new year at the same time but they are using international aging system now though, so yeah.

riizeingshine

First!!

Omotola

yes, it's green light, red light but the phrase they used is "happy new year".
