As has become tradition, before starting our next BTS show we went out and picked a video that caught our eye once upon a time via a comment suggestion. Today we travel back to the year 2020 (what a wild year), to watch this iconic moment with BTS commemorating the graduates of that year. There was laughter, and there were tears.

I was thinking about it earlier in the video that "omg why did I never realize gabriel was so funny" and when you guys brought it up too it clicked! He really is very funny and I love that his personality has been able to shine more now that he's feeling more comfortable with the cameras! (he kinda does remind me of yoongi in this aspect, cold at first meeting but once he warms up is the sweetest)

2024-02-29 04:14:42 +0000 UTCi graduated from med school in april 2020 and i was soo bummed out cause our graduation which was in may got cancelled cause of covid and it felt soo unfair that after working soo hard for that DR title i couldnot have the graduation but when bts did this i was soo happy that i was in that situation cause never did i imagine bts congratulating me for graduation

I was in my last year in law school in 2020 and was feeling restless and doubting my life choices but Seokjinโs words brought me so much comfort. And yes absolutely this was such a comfort during that time and even now. The screen shot I had of Jimin saying "there is someone in Korea who understands you," was what slowly started to push him from wrecker to bias #2. There is jus something about BTS and the way they talk that just makes you feel seen and heard. They work so hard to find the commonalities between us all so that we feel connect and like we are never alone. Which was so important at that time to so many people. I'm so happy you guys reacted to this. Partly because I want to watch your reaction, but mostly because I want you guys to have this in your arsenal of comforting things for when you are struggling. 2024-02-29 02:31:49 +0000 UTCI finished my PhD just before the pandemic hit so I consider myself Class of 2020 and my graduation was postponed twice (finally held in 2023). So, early (few months) into my BTS journey I woke up at 3AM to watch this in my pyjamas and cried at how comforting it was to have BTS speak at "my graduation" given the fact that they were the reason I managed to graduate at all. I had found them a few months prior when I was struggling to finish my thesis to the point that I spent hours each day mindlessly scrolling YT instead of writing a single word despite my deadline looming over my head like an executioner's sword. I stumbled across 2 videos that made me cry for days - Joon's speech about how if their music/pictures/content could reduce my pain from 100 to 99 to 98, then their existence was enough followed by Yoongi's short past new year's greeting that included this sentence "it's ok not to have a dream" - for the first time in a long time, I felt understood and heard, that my worth was not dependant on my constant need to overachieve - existing was enough. It brought me great comfort and I finished my thesis, aced my viva defence, became a double doctorate. Now, BTS continue to be my comfort. I know not many will read this but I just wanted to speak it to the universe. Am gonna watch the video now (thank you CCW for letting me walk down memory lane) and probably cry ... who am I kidding, I cried while typing this already

My best friend hates kpop, just because, and one day I was listening to some music on my headphones and she wanted to join me. So we shared it and I was watching her enjoy and dance to it and at the end I was like "it's a bts song by the way". At first she was shocked and then really embarassed, because she always loudly proclaimed her disdain for their music even though she heard two - three songs of theirs. She still doesn't like it, but at least after that incident she keeps her opinion to herself and occasionaly sends me some tiktoks or news about them, because she knows I care

My kids went on spring break and didn't go back to school for the remainder of the school yr. She is a HS senior this yr and got to make up for her middle sch graduation. This is also the yr I really got into BTS and went down the rabbit hole. Binged the music, and reactions and fall in love with these 7 man.๐

He couldn't get tested, because they barely had enough tests for the medical staff. He was across the country at the time. He didn't tell me for months how bad it really was. Sigh... The campus emptied and classes went online. I felt so bad that he didn't get the full celebration! Anyway....I wish I had known about this content then. He and I could have watched it together. BTS is such a wonderful and thoughtful group of men! Thank you for this reaction, CCW ๐

This is why I think he's always so happy Dancing to PTD! Also.... this means Taehyung most likely understood intrinsically when IU was doing Korean Sign language in Love Wins All ๐๐ Dear Class of 2020 was such a nice throwback! I think about how this must have felt for them, too, because this was just a couple months after their tour was postponed. The members were still in this period of forced inactivity after gearing up for their world tour. I think their gratefulness and joy at being able to perform together, even remotely, for an audience comes through the screen. (Side note: Taeโs little habit of tapping the members under the chin is so adorable. I always wonder if one of his parents/grandparents did it to him growing up and thatโs why this is one of the ways he shows affection to the members now.)

Jin is consistently the member whose advice I need to hear- his perspective on life is so refreshing.
