Time for our second poll for HOBI. This first one will be focused on Personality.
NOTE: For those who are newer here to Patreon, we wanted to give quick insight on HOW we decide what's on each poll. Each week we open up a section in our discord for people to drop requests for a specific category. From there, everyone can "like" their favorite option. We choose the 5 with the highest number of likes to put here on Patreon. We don't know any of these songs or videos so it's the easiest way to come up with a list that isn't picking at random.
That being said, we LOVE personality videos so we can't wait to see one focused on JHOPE.
Lastly - We're trying something a little different for this poll. One vote per user.

You will only know the secret if you watch the amazing Grammy performance. Why watch it? Kind of spoiler...it has a theme added with extra choreography...maybe. Reminder...Jin had just had hand surgery. Truth. He has a disorder. His hands are deformed. His fingers are wavy. His finger joints are quite unique. Go find a picture. Anyway, he hurt his one hand and had to have surgery so his hand is wrapped and his performance is ...well you will see. ENJOY. This is the song where I fell in love with Jin's voice with two words only "No way"...I promise you won't regret it. It’s easier to be able to see the link and the thumbnail of the video in discord when posted. Also, there is a poll limit on Patreon of 20 options. There are much more than 20 people posting their requests on discord. Therefore it is way too complicated to do on Patreon

Campaigning was meant to be friendly competition and those involved did not expect anyone to actually change their votes. I talked with the mod of the discord and she checked and saw that the majority of the people that win the poll/get theirs on the poll are indeed not active in discord. To respond to the original poster, I think the time problem is a great thing to bring up in discord becasue Juli and ccw are always willing to hear feedback and change! At one point they were doing it at different times I think for other people in different time zones. I could be wrong. But there is a feedback channel in discord you can put that in! 🤍

Maybe someday House of Cards will get the votes to win, totally deserves it and I don't think will be part of the song release path for CCW. It's okay, I listen to this song, as well as the rest of BTS' discography, everyday and I am still amazed by it. It reaches in and grabs my heart and soul everytime! As well as Let Go, but I can't even go there right now.

I’ve dropped in and put some likes on things (I like the channel where people show off their BTS merchandise!) and commented a couple times, but that is definitely more of a time commitment than I have time to make. 😂 I like all the things they react to and it’s fun to watch no matter what, so I just kind of figure eventually they’ll focus on the other stuff/members.

2023-02-11 21:24:15 +0000 UTCI’ll be happy to see them react to anything, but the fact that there are multiple videos out there about EVERY hyung line member letting the maknae line do whatever they want to them shows that this isn’t a uniquely J-hope trait and after watching the video, J-hope’s personality isn’t highlighted by this video much. But it is a fun video, so maybe later on they can react to something else more J-hope centered.

2023-02-11 20:02:29 +0000 UTCI agree, and the fact that videos are suggested from discord I don't think it's fair either not everyone can or wants to join discord and the suggestions for polls are determined by the level of bias each member has in that discord i.e more hobi focused would probably suggest something more hobi centric (depending on the poll). We know maknae line biases would absolutely appreciate a video that focuses just on their bias in their week. It's only fair that's the same for ALL members. CCW can watch those kind of compilation vids in the future, maybe a series of member x member to watch interactions and bonds :) x

But most of the time, the voting hours coincide with my work hours (unfortunately, I put in almost 12 hours at work most days), so that doesn’t really work for me. Maybe make the voting hours 24 to 48 hours long so that it can cover all time zones. That said, I will still be watching and supporting CCW whichever video they decide to react to. I love this channel and am always excited to see when they drop something.

Maybe you guys can react to that video as well as another one in the same video since they're all short videos?? I know you guys are in the beginning of your journey but seeing as it is a hobi week video, i feel you guys would want one that more accurately showcases his personality. If you do react to two videos in one, i think you guys should react the BTS' human charger video (although the dance teacher video is winning second place) because as someone who has watched all of these videos multiple times... its the one that showcases his personality & dynamics with all of the members the best and is most well put together out of the other options. There are also videos of him with the hyung line and while it may be somewhat different he is also nurturing toward namjoon for sure. But honestly as we all know there is a LOT of content and the best thing to do is to watch them in context without even a compilation. And honestly they will either have to do that on their own time or through shows like Bon Voyage which they just started.

Because of that, it shows what Tae wants to do, what Jimin wants to do, what JK wants to do, and Hobi playing along. It’s focused on the ML’s personalities and arguably, if you’re looking for a connective narrative, how Hobi is a team player who puts others first. For their first reaction to him, on his birthday, it’s fair to want his strengths showcased and appreciated. This video definitely highlights the antics of the ML more. Period.

There’s one scene that could totally be cut, yes, but I don’t think the maknae line overshadows Hobi. They, along with some of the hyungs, share varying amounts of screen time with him but Hobi’s sunny personality still dominates every scene he’s in, except for the one I mentioned. I feel confident CCW will come away with the same impression. In the end, it’s all good because it’s BTS.

I watched a bit of all of them but the only one I watched all the way through was the Maknae line one. It was just fun. From a non-maknae bia's pov I can say there are definitely people(Like me) who are choosing it because it's a fun video to watch, and showcases Hobi's dynamic with his members. It's ok to have a different priority for this poll. Wanting a more straight forward Hobi info-documentary style vid on his B-day is valid. But please don't label other people as solo stans because they want to see CCW react to a more light hearted hobi video.

The video was placed in the poll and it is a good reflection of Hobi because it shows his relationship with his 3 babies. It also shows their group dynamics. And it’s genuinely funny in comparison to some of the other videos. Maybe CCW can do two personality videos? As an ARMY, I watched all of these videos and I can accurately understand who Hobi is that is something CCW would have to do away from the screen, due to the amount of content available.
