Great that you posted a version with no pauses. Thanks! BTW, since you are reacted to N.O., there's a comeback trailer for O!RUL8,2? It's a must watch because this was an amazing performance by our Tannies. Shows that even during their early years, they are already great. I guess, you know that by now. Thanks for a fun reaction, as always. Xen is a hoot! 💜💜💜

Don’t know if you’re gonna see this, and I don’t mean to be rude obviously you might not know since you’re still pretty new. You guys seem to be under the impression that BTS don’t really do hype or hip hop songs recently which I don’t think is true. I don’t think Run BTS was a shock just because they hadn’t done songs like that for a while but just simply because it was such a good song. We have so many hype songs from recently as well. Dionysus Dis-ease Idol On Ugh Tear Mic Drop etc. I don’t think they stopped doing any genres of music but instead diversified their styles so that their music would be influenced by various genres as well as the ones they focused more in the beginning.
Like I said I’m not trying to lecture you or anything 😂 sorry if it comes off that way but I just thought to comment it cause I noticed that y’all brought it up quite often 🤔 great reaction regardless tho💜

Yes, I have encountered Army that haven't been so sweet! I was told the boys would not like me because of my political views and was literally attacked on Twitter. Was the dumbest thing I've ever been involved in.... some in the ARMY just go wayyyy toooo far! But just like anything, it's just a small (albeit very vocal) group.... most I have encountered have been so amazing and sweet. I am 56 year old fan! Been a fan since ON came out- I have though, followed my own timeline- it's MY experience! Really love your video's even if I get frustrated at the poll results! :/ LOL

I had a hard day today, but I am ending it with you guys before I go to sleep, thank you 🙏💜 had a good time watching and laughing. P.S. I am sorry in the name of ARMY for the people who are mean to you guys... Nothing is perfect and we are also not. It is sad but from time to time you will meet some mean (toxic) fand who will act like they knoe everything and are too possesive over the boys. I know it can be really annoying and sometimes it can make the experience of discovering the BTS less enjoyable with people like this. But thats how people are, in any fandom, music, movies, sports... Really sorry about that 💜

This one's gonna be a long one so sorry about that in advance but i just wanted to say that yall should definitely start watching the rise of bangtan since the creator is currently reuploading episodes and it would give you better context to bts' music especially since you've been going though their discography in order! Rise of bangtan is a fan made docu-series on youtube about how bts became bts. It progresses chronologically and it's SO informative, not just about bts themselves but also the kpop industry and Korean culture and norms! It gives such a good inside scoop of bts' whole journey starting all the way from pre-debut days. It talks about how bts fit/don't fit into the kpop world and how they're viewed from the k-industry's lens, the struggles they went through and how they overcame them, all the highs and the very low lows, and of course some funny, wholesome moments and behind the scenes footage! It goes through each era while giving great context to the music they're making at that time for example through interviews, press conferences, video logs and what not, which is all the type of footage that no one really ever searches for anymore.
The series really is the perfect thing to watch if you wanna get to know the members better even if it's not always sunshine and rainbows. It's almost like re-living all those years with them and watching them grow up all over again. It's really well made and honestly something i wish i had available when i first became an army :)

To expound on this thought, it is fun when reactions include lyric videos, then MV, then live performances and behind the scenes. Makes for longer reactions, but for our part, we love it!! We love when you have a more rounded understanding of what you are seeing, rather than struggling with subtitles and meanings. It would help you not need to pause quite as much during performances. 🤗 We know it’s a LOT, not only to take in, but a lot of your time is invested in these reactions. Please know we appreciate you very much. 💜

Apologize this will be long, I’m the older (54 yr old) Army who has all this useless information on Korean 🤣 I am fascinated with their culture so research & read a lot.
So Korean education system, High School students go to school from 8am till 9:30 PM or 10PM yes 16 hrs a day everyday, then some go to a Hagwons which is a private after school learning program, it reinforces higher education & English skills, they help prepare them for exams and drilling skills into them from the textbooks, the goal is to get into a good college, completions is often really high, now in middle school classes end at 4pm, but some still may attend a Hagwon. High School students often to get home till midnight so dinner is served in school, the parents think it’s foolish to have dreams of becoming anything other than a CEO of a company or any great position in a company, it all about getting a good job, BTS thru there songs wantkids to know they can have a different dream like all of them had. Another song that is not a BTS song, but BTS performed it on stage with Seo Taiji who is a legend in Korea, he is the one that made it possible to do the songs BTS ( they are mainly the idols who write songs that are more controversial, like criticizing the education system, the Sewol ferry tragedy etc… anyway the song is called class room idea. If someday you find time you should check out Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Time travelers BTS performs like 8 songs with him, the YouTube channel Enjoy BTS more has each performance broke down into individual videos with English subs, she is also on Patreon and has many of the live performances of BTS with english subs, she’s amazing. To see BTS in a different light, the performance with Seo Taiji are really a lot of fun, JK and Tae raps and b-boy, Hobi dances as well by himself, as well as Jimin
Again sorry so long 💜

The Title is N.O.(n period, o period), which RM says stands for No Offense. I thinks he meant we are ripping the mask off the rigid Korean school system where students go to school until 10 pm at night, and teenage suicide is the highest in the world. This system is what is truly "offensive", so please don't take my song as "offensive". " SKY" stands for the three most prestigious universities in South Korea: Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University. In Korea if you don't make into one of these three you have basically "failed". I know you are muscians first, but BTS lyrics is what makes them stand out above all other Kpop groups. If you casually look at their lyrics you are missing what they are about. It's more work but looking at explanation videos is important. Sites like Doolset really breakdown the lyrics and translate them accurately. BTS rabbit hole is deep and wide and not easily navigated by anyone. No hate just trying to help your experiencing who BTS is and what they mean TO ARMY. LYRICS are soo important.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Also, it's funny to realize how from a very early age BTS already had a very wide diversity of sounds. As you are digging into the title tracks first, the heavier hip hop sound is very distinctive and it's true that over time the melodies become more elaborate. But thinking about the b-sides I was shocked to find that they already made super melodic songs since the very beginning. I particularly LOVE "Path", which is a hidden track from their first album. It took me way too long to get to know it and I was shocked by RM doing a little vocal at the end of the song. I know you'll get there eventually, no pressure, but it's really cool to realize that kind of thing.

As a Brazilian, I found the comment about capoeira (we pronouce it kinda of like ka-po-wei-ra) interesting! Gabriel, you didn't talk nonsense! I would only add that this was an important form of resistance by Afro-Brazilian people who were enslaved and who fought to gain their freedom. For some years capoeira was banned by the government precisely because it was associated with this "rebellion" of Afro-Brazilians. I don't think the movements in the MV were exactly capoeira movements, but in a way, the message of fighting for freedom is part of the music and the martial art.

Hi primos. I get frustrated sometimes because you never check the behind de scenes or explation videos that could awnser so many of your questions. There are short videos and its very well made. They could also help you remember what you have seen before and understand the context. BTS is so much moore then a pretty song and a nice mv. PLEASE DIG DEEPER. You are missing on so much....🙈🙉🙊

You guys are going to have a lot of your questions about their music answered once you start watching The Rise of Bangtan. This is why its important to watch that series because it brings context to each music era they had. It’s fan made and it’s so very helpful especially for fans living outside SK. If only their company gave us more insight about their early years… but unfortunately that’s not the case, as all their official documentaries are only from 2017- onwards. Sorry for the mini rant on your page, I sometimes get frustrated because it should be the company’s priority to bring as much insight on BTS as possible so new, and even old fans understand better the message the group wants to share. I mean they are the biggest band in the world and most of their old official content don’t even have official subtitles 😕

We can't always get our first choice. But ANY choice is a gift... and they will get to other stuff later. I also voted for Truth Untold.
I was surprised to see any American late night talk show performance suggested.
The TINY stage on late night talk shows really restricts their performance.
But the remote performances in 2020-21 at least they could expand the the performance.

Not sure if you were told, but the line “in-Seoul, to the SKY” is a reference to/acronym of three of the most prestigious universities in Korea (which are all located ‘in-Seoul’). Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University are extremely academically competitive to be accepted into. They’re commonly referred as “SKY” universities that are extremely desirable for many parents to have their kids attend. Hence the next line “would the parents really be happy….” implied is: …if we got into these schools by studying ourselves to death for literally 12+ hours a day?
(I’m sure you’ve heard of doolset for lyric breakdowns, but they have an amazing site that always gives great cultural context and insight into wordplay!)

RM said (I believe it was in a Bangtan Bomb from when they were filming the music video) that N.O stood for 'No Offense'......Much later in 2019, Jungkook was the one who first suggested the title to the song 'ON', as a callback to'N.O' and the rest of the members loved it and so it stuck....I personally love how BTS frequently references past songs and lyrics in newer songs to build this cohesive, fluid, consistent story of their lives in their music

N.O. is an abbreviation for No Offense. In this song, they were basically trying to break against the education system in Korea. The students there were next level toxic bcoz of the school system, and it's been affecting the youth severely. Some resort to suicides when they don't pass, etc. Therefore, a lot of the youngsters were able to relate to BTS' message - they held onto what the boys were fighting for. This was the reason why they received a lot of criticisms. But they remained strong towards what they've been fighting for, even the other stereotypes in Korea. It isn't something common to Kpop idols to tackle such messages. That's what made BTS different from ANY other Kpop groups! 😎🔥
BTS PAVED THE WAY! And they changed the K-culture to be a more positive and better world for the youth 😭🤧💜
Thanks for this vid! Appreciate all your hardwork 💜
