Xero Reacts to Halohammer Part 3 - The Flood in 40k

As for zombies in 40k, yeah they're all linked to Nurgle. Sure there's some necromancy in Mortarion's backstory, but that never went beyond his home world since he killed all but one of them, and Big Daddy E offed the final one (who was Mortarion's adopted dad, and the killsteal was the cause of some major daddy issues for the guy). There is the Ordo Sepulturum (the word itself being derived for the Latin word for burial ans has similar roots to words like sepulchre, meaning that this Ordo's name like the Daemonhunters, Witchhunters and Alienhunters would be the Buriedhunters), a minor Ordo within the Inquisition that's all about hunting Nurgle's zombies. They also deal with the likes of the Obliterators and Mutilators, former humans that were infected with a Chaos-powered virus that works a bit like the Flood, except you gain access to either a massive amount of melee weaposn for any occasion in case of the Multilators, or anything from Heavy Bolters to Lascannons in case of the Obliterators. In Total War terms think of them as being anti-everything. Note that the Ordo Sepulturum (who are actually known as the Zombiehunters) don't actually have any representation on the tabletop. They do have a book under the horror imprint (yes, 40k has its own line of horror books that are even worse than the mainline ones) under the name Sepulturum. And the Tzeentch bit... well, the Chaos Gods can't just snap their fingers and obliterate anyone who offends them. They need a way in at first, then take it from there. It's also been hinted that actually winning woud be the worst case scenario for Tzeench because if all of his plans succeed he in essence disproves his own existence as the Chaos god of being a meddling little gremlin and unmakes himself. So even if he were to win he'd either saboutage himself or set things up so that he can keep scheming against others.
