OC Overview of Argil Shift

🏷️Name

I imagine Argil’s current name was given by a Namesmith later in life, a good while after she got her Cutie-Mark. Her foal name (as common as it was) was forgotten like most other foal names in Equestria. (In my AU)

📑Basic

Argil is a police pony, working in one of the many bustling cities within Manehatten. Recognized for her tall, well-built stature, her calm and empathetic nature is admired by both locals and fellow officers. Her approachable and kind demeanor has made her widely liked by most ponies around her. 

🎨Visual - Appearance

Argil is a unicorn with a set of long mane and tail that falls past her shoulders, featuring two tones of ashy purple and dark purple-gray. Her coat is a light grayish purple, and her bright green eyes stand out vividly through her dull colors. She is taller than average and has a well-built physique.

🎨Visual - Cutie Mark Talent

Her Cutie-Mark is a magically swirling clay Vase. She has a talent for pottery and she is particularly good at making vases. Argil has a very steady pair of limbs, giving her precise control over her movements.

🎭Personality Matrix

Likes
Argil loves any activity that allows her to be creative. Though her busy schedule as a law enforcer leaves little time for hobbies, she likes to craft small clay decorations for her apartment whenever she finds extra time.

Dislikes
Argil gets particularly annoyed when others pry too much into her personal life. While she understands most of these questions come from normal day to day conversation, she can’t help but feel a bit uncomfortable when the spotlight is on her.

Strengths
Reliable, open-minded, and kind, Argil's biggest strengths shine through her empathic and warm hearted personality. She is trustworthy and a welcoming friend who would never take advantage of another for personal gain.

Weaknesses
Surprisingly slow and a bit clueless at times, Argil often finds herself caught off guard or flustered. Her deep empathy often work against her, leading to exhausting situations where she puts others' needs ahead of her own.

Personality
Argil embodies peace and calm, never raising her voice and maintaining a quiet, comforting tone. This takes roots from her insecurity about her tall, well-built physique, which has drawn unwanted attention and, at times, the wrong kind. To avoid standing out, she has learned to keep herself low-profile, aiming to appear nonthreatening and keep expectations manageable. However, despite not wanting to stand out, Argil worries her reserved nature might make her forgettable.

Values
Argil does not follow any specific belief or religion and isn’t really interested in figuring out her true values. She sees the law of Equestria as a good guide but doesn’t completely agree with everything in it. Instead, she follows her own morals, which are based on her emotions, feelings, and the situation she’s in.

Cordite Shift,  best big sister ever!
Best sister ever! Even though they’ve grown apart over the years with Cordite working in the military, they always found time to catch up through phone calls and letters. Argil looks up to her big sister and always waits for her to come back home.

Skip Blade the Lieutenant
Most superiors struggled to remember her name, but Miss Blade remembers. Though Argil couldn’t quite understand why Miss Blade was so fond of her, the cheerful demeanor and boundless enthusiasm were always a welcome presence. She subconsciously works harder when shes around.

Sweet Cinder...
First impressions riddled with embarrassing commotion towards the mare’s disfigurement. While apologies were exchanged and seemingly accepted, the moment stuck, Argil goes out of her way to be kind and attentive toward Cinder. Though her efforts seem to only be making things worse...

Status
Argil is secretly seeing someone, keeping it discreet due to the taboo of workplace relationships. She’s also naturally a private pony and rarely shares details about her personal life...

Preference
Argil is drawn to quiet, soft-spoken ponies. She is bisexual but has a strong preference for stallions. Argil is not very sure about her bisexuality as it has been a very recent discovery. Argil is not very fond of other species outside of ponies.

🔎Trivia

• Being a background character, there isn’t much interesting information about Argil to write… yet. Maybe one day she will get more attention.

• Argil wanted to become a soldier as well, following in her sister's hoof steps but chickened out last minute, running away from the interview.

• She thinks her sister Cordite’s instant ramen skills are the coolest thing ever! She tries to copy her but end up overcooking the noodles every time...

• Argil only recently found out about her Bisexuality- on accident (Oops)

• She’s been wanting to get a dog! She is patiently waiting for the station’s police dog to retire so she can ask to adopt him :D 

• Argil finds Cinder incredibly creepy, and the guilt from that makes her overcompensate in every interaction. Which only seems to make things worse, aaaand now Cinder outright hates her for it. (Oops x 2)

• If you didn't figure it out, her bisexual awakening and the Cinder incident is intertwined- She walked in on her changing... :') (Oops x 3)

📝Creators Notes. 

The core reason she was created was because I wanted to make a big busty character with big boobies and tall... yeah :) After I designed and created Argil, I realized she had a close resemblance to Cordite, an old OC I had for yeeears. I made a quick decision to make them sisters, it was a great opportunity for me to use Cordite again and I liked their dynamic!
