Important Announcement 07/09/2023
Added 2023-09-07 04:57:54 +0000 UTCFrom the last polls, I have come to a decision on some important matters.
First of all, I'm going to go ahead with lowering the price even through the slight majority of you say that you don't mind the pricing as it is currently. I'm very sorry to those who has just signed up for the $11 plan, as you may feel that you've been cheated out of $3 for the same benefits in this month, but now you can hop on the $8 plan if you want to for the same amount of read-ahead chapters. I'm considering making the $11 Tier a fic request tier where I will take suggestions and put your ideas in a popularity poll for potential writing, but considering how many there are of you in Tier 3 currently, I don't think that this would be a good idea just yet.
For those in Tier 1, things will remain the same for now, but I may contemplate whether I should remove that tier entirely as I feel like you guys are getting too little in value (I will inform you one month in advance before I do so).
In regards to public Beta reading, seeing the overwhelming support for the idea, I'll be creating a document and putting it accessible to Tier 2 and up as to not spoil things for Tier 1.
Also, I've been a whole lot less productive in this 3 week break than I planned, as there were complications with my Visa status that I needed to sort out, as mentioned before. Thus, my chapter bank has officially ran dry as of today. This will will have no impact in the schedule of two chapters per week on patreon, but as I try to build the bank back up as a safety net in case things turn sideways in real life, I will be slowing down public release on fanfic and webnovel to 1 chapter per week. (I'm mainly following the standards set by another fanfic writier named TheBlack'sResurgence, or Lee McCusker-I think he's an awesome writer so do check him out). One day, like him, I wish to do this full time and hopefully have more time creating and get out three chapters per week minimum. Now though, I still have until the end of 2024 with Uni as well as a part time job, thus time for doing what I really enjoy doing in writing has been limited).
Often times I feel rushed to get chapters out and write words/make decisions without thinking too deeply on it. This has led to some bad writing like what I dub now as the 'clone incident' on NHRK. Lesson learned. Thus slowing the pace down on public releases will be a boon for the story, I think, and you guys will get more and more chapters as time goes on-though I think my fanfic/webnovel followers will hate me for it.
Last but not least, regarding the new Harry Potter fic, I've made a plan on how I want the first few arcs to go and have written a few chapters on it as a test run on how comfortable I feel writing a system fic. The result that came out of this is that I am absolutely ass at keeping track of stats and levels, but since the public beta idea came up, hopefully you guys can help catch any mistakes I make with the numbers. Due to my lack of experience playing RPG games, do expect polls to come readily with the eventual release of this fic as well as probably an oversimplified version of the system. UPDATE: Harry Potter system fic is going to be shelved up for now. Perhaps a normal HP fic without a system will come up in the future.
The past few months have been unreal to me, and I cannot express how grateful I am for your support. Thanks for sticking with me this far and being patient on my growing pains.
