SOP S2E11 FULL REACTION

SOP S2E11 FULL REACTION

The cast did a 20th anniversary interview 6 years ago that I just watched on YouTube. Their love and respect for each other still shines through the screen. When they are asked about working with James Gandolfini, there are tears, and so much affection. The actress who played Meadow remembers being so nervous in her first intense scenes with him (the college trip in season one) and how generous and reassuring he was as her scene partner. “When you feel nervous, just look in my eyes and trust me.” She says she didn’t know until years later that he “looked after” the kids on the show, by checking with their parents or agents to ask if they were okay after difficult scenes. A humble and kind man, a great actor gone too soon. “Look at this mug,” he’d say. “Can you believe they let me be the lead in this thing?”

Janice, as unlikable as she is, was spot-on in her description of marriages like Tony and Carm’s: the men have a madonna-or-whore outlook on women. The wives are not supposed to love any kinky sex or even enthusiastic sex, because that makes them whores, at least in the minds of their Catholic-school-raised husbands.

Ritchie and his “Manson lamps.” 😀 The murderous glare. Of all the evil in this series, I think Ritchie is the scariest.

The shrink is not in love with Tony. She’s fascinated and repelled and obsessed, but that ain’t love.

Annnd we're done! Great reaction Sir. Nothing major happened , but the character development was so well done. And I love Junior getting his hand stuck! And just ta say , Tony told Carm he was not seeing the Russian chick anymore. A guy like Tony will always have some form of a Goomar. I believe Bobby , (He takes care of Junior) and Johnny Sack are the only married guys without any in the whole series. Ok , that's all till next drop , which I believe is Spider-Man 3 on Monday! Can't wait!! Peace

I don't think Carmela was ever okay with Tony's cheating, but she, like the other mob wives, accepted it as a part of the mafia lifestyle. The men have goomars on the side; mistresses. But wife and mistress are supposed to stay seperate in blissful ignorance. Like you said, though, Tony did promise Carmela he wouldn't cheat anymore, and that lasted all of 17 minutes lol

A 12-step program like AA is specifically tailored to treat substance abuse/use disorders. It can also depend on the therapist's clinical orientation. In AA you might see more of a behavioral approach as opposed to a psychodynamic one. Though they differ, many elements of CBT are often implemented in 12-step programs.
