Jon Favreau (the director) is Happy in Iron man. He also is responsible for the MCU, as well as a lot of new Star Wars entries such as the Mandalorian. He is a genius in his field!

Matt Rumsey

Hope you got some snow sir. 9 inches in 24 hrs in north Texas was beautiful. We typically get ice which sucks but snow is welcomed.

John Dodo

I loved that line. No idea what it meant.

Susan B

She wants so desperately to be part of whatever Chris loves. She’s maybe the one true innocent adult here.

Susan B

And mispronounced.

The ending of this episode is deeply tragic. Imagine a choice between prison (and ruination for your kids) or betrayal of a friend. IMO, Pussy would choose prison and loyalty to Tony, if not for the fact that Pussy’s son is brilliant and has a future that hasn’t yet been tainted by the mob connection. So in Pussy’s mind, he’s choosing his son’s future over Tony, his childhood best friend. His conversation with Anthony Junior makes him realize that he’s also betraying the kid. A heartbreaking performance, when he’s crying alone and the cops are listening in. Woman POV: you said Chris’s girlfriend was upset “because of the woman” when he didn’t come home. No, she was upset because he went to a movie set and spent the day with movie people, and excluded her (his sleeping with the woman wouldn’t have even occurred to her yet. She’s got that much faith in him.) You could see in that first nightclub scene that Chris was embarrassed by Adrian’s talking about screenplays in a naive way, in front of someone who is in the business. Even without his sexual attraction to the redhead, Chris’s inclination would be to exclude Adriana from that world and pair-up with a woman who is part of it. Adriana has been the one person encouraging this interest of his, who saved his script from the trash bin, who signed him up for the acting class, and now that Chris is meeting people in that world, he doesn’t include her. He does something she finds glamorous and exciting, and sets her aside. Also a woman POV: the redhead’s attraction to Chris is not about his power, it’s about her power over a man who thinks he is powerful. Chris is a useful tool, and she is the player he wants to be. He just doesn’t know he’s being played. Fun fact: the two actresses on the film set are/were famous and were playing themselves. Same with Jon Favreau. I admire him for playing himself as a twit and a user. That takes courage and a sense of humor. This is the episode where I started to be really impressed with the kid playing Anthony Junior. Growing up on this set, growing into the role. Btw, he hated the way they made him wear his hair. 😬

Joey? Do you mean Christopher? 😅

Watching you watch this for the first time takes me back to being a teen when it was new and coming out each week with a new episode. It's still amazing after twentyish years.

Bob Renholder

I think the second season takes place in 99 maybe 2000.

Isn't it a bit early to introduce Nietzsche to kids in junior high? It can very easily be misunderstood😅

gak9319

You probably recognise Jon Favreau from the MCU. Happy Iron Man' "bodyguard". He also directed Iron Man 1 and 2. He appears as himself in this episode.

I hate when Adriana pretends she knows things🫣
