X-MEN DARK 2019 FULL REACTION

X-MEN DARK 2019 FULL REACTION

Comments

Idk my guy. I hate this wokeness shit endlessly, but i also like...you know, breathing reasonably clean air

Hugobertram Wasenloge

The infiltration of wokeness / political correctness into movies is the equivalent to smog and emissions control that turned the late 70’s & 80’s cars into junk.

LumpyGrits

He should at least watch the Blade movies first.

gak9319

for him to catch up weekly it will be over a years wait

Samuel Avetisyan

Do I look like I'm crying? Lol? Stop being dumb. Let's see you deny that.

Alejandro Guerra

Dude, you have no idea you have emotions, what they're for, or how to USE them, so really it's the lack of knowledge or control. Just to be clear I'm not judging, just saying you have it backwards if you don,t realize or know this. Just to be sure you know: many good characters "go bad" and many have emotion based powers.

Alejandro Guerra

This movie was about 80% done filming when disney bought fox. Disney made them make changes and rewrite the entire ending. This was supposed to set up the entire 2nd class and reps the originals. But Disney came in and just wanted to end so they could do their own once all the actor's contracts were up. (Which just happened so next year they will begin preparing for the mutant saga in the MCU)

Shawn Leaf

X took accountability on his end, the insane person not in control of her actions is going to as well in the end I bet. IDK I haven't seen this. Not guilty by plea of insanity is a recognized thing, and yes if the entire cause is the illness and it's treated yes those people will feel bad, but they can't be held accountable due to lack of choice. You aren't held accountable for your extremely high intellectual IQ, but almost non-existent emotional IQ, you didn't pick....

Alejandro Guerra

what I'm 45 am I the only one that loves all these films I must be a real movie enthusesist who enjoys all movies I saw all these movies in the theatre on a big screen I think thats the problem your seeing them on a small computer screen you need too see them the way they ment too be seen on a big screen in theatre. and plus theres no talking in theatre so you can just enjoy and take it in! just a thought from a movies fan. lol maybe Mrlboyd needs too try and see one on a big screen theatre with no talking too get a different perspective on movies just a thought.

Paul Carroll

... When was that ever up for debate?

Molly McAllister

me too i like it around 68f -70f

trueyinyang

look at all these crybabies in the comment. this movie sucks, get over it.

Soul Fist

stop crying lol

Soul Fist

Yeah, this one was painful. Jean is canonically insanely strong and they depicted it really well in this movie. I also don't have any issues with some female empowerment... but this movie was just mess with few cool scenes. But the cool scenes went 9/10 at least, you cant deny that. X-Men universe SPOILER, that will make you happy (and will never be in a movie because of "reasons"): Rogue kills Cpt. Marvel and completely absorbs her (her soul and her powers).

Michal Kubán

Dude, it seems like you're hyper fused and overly sensitive when it comes to women being portrayed as being powerful: a) 2hy are yo7 so focused on defending positions nobody is tak8ng, it's clear she's the villain and she's accurate in power, she's always, well before the movies been the Phoenix force, that's her character did you complain when Apocalypse wassuper powerful? B) you don't seem to get villain's, anti heroes, heroes ect should be complex, it's extremely normal emotionally to feel morethan uncomfortable going out to kill your student or girlfriend, especially knowing she's been infected by a thing controlling her, nobody has defended her actions but you seem to to be fighting that viewpoint as if it was being constantly made every time she does a c4azy 5hing because she's crazy. There's such a thing as responsibility and simultaneously understanding why people with mental disorders can have lack of control and do need "slack", you get from just being autistic... you can actually reason very well. Some people have other things that prevent them from, or cause them to do dangerous things. They should get slack too don't you think? Imagine everyone came down hard on you for hurting their feelings for not being empathetic, socially adept, poor at helping or knowing what to do with people in emotional distress (such as someone crying, lashing out angrily, basically being a NORMAL human being? It'd be unpleasant for you, if there's one mental health tolerance you'd be locked up, shunned, or kicked out of society for not understanding emotion. Jus5 a thought

Alejandro Guerra

The second time they ruined a great storyline from the comics. Dark Phoenix is supposed to be an Infinity War level event and they screwed it up twice

Brandon Tracy-Hurst

Yeah, I'm not watching this again, did watch your rant at the end though🤣 "Invading" established franchises and filling them with nonsense has been the norm for a while😅 It happened to Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel and many others😪

gak9319

Felt much the same way, kept pushing through thinking. "He's stated before most of what he's saying is sarcasm. That's not better. That means he thinks this is funny. Oh no."

Molly McAllister

I could be wrong, but it seems like his perspective is also blinding him to other extenuating factors and just lumping it all into 'Neurotypical emotions are weird'. If Neurotypical feelings baseline at a 5 and something emotionally traumatic like finding out a parent didn't love you pegged the meter to 11, Jean processing all of that at once AND being a powerful psychic who's involuntarily being overwhelmed by everybody else's thoughts and emotions AND having a primordial cosmic force inside her that's supercharging Everything would be a 147.

Molly McAllister

Charles wanting to "protect" her actually manifested this whole thing into existence. If he had allowed her to process this grief as a child (yes, even though he didn't die, he no longer wanted her so she essentially lost her father which equates to a loss that she needed to grieve), when she became OP she wouldn't have all this rage about her father. I know feelings don't make sense to you, but that doesn't mean other people should mask those feelings. People need to learn how to identify and work through strong negative emotions to prevent things like this happening. ETA: Your inability to even acknowledge feelings as valid in any way has blinded you to the fact that forcing someone to repress their feelings, particularly an 8 year old CHILD who hasn't had enough time to even learn how to manage their emotions, will cause explosive behavior later in life, as is the case here.

Denise Mattsen

Perfect temperature for me is around 68 degrees.Anything warmer and I turn into a sweaty puddle. I am just a sweaty person in general though, have been since I was a teen. In fact, if I am not at home I wear a neck fan every single time I leave the house. Just never know when or where I'll be when the temperature gets above 70.

Denise Mattsen

if he goes to deadpool 3 next he will miss so much

Gregory Sambrano

so its not about bc she's a girl in the comics you think that bc the year it came out this movie is horrible but the actual comic story is not woke by any means

Gregory Sambrano

Haha, bro I warned in a previous comments section that this movie isn’t worth it. It adds no benefit to the overall story. The Fox X-men universe died here. In my opinion, you could’ve just skipped this one and you wouldn’t have missed any important information at all. I literally remember seeing DVDs for this movie in Walmart without ever knowing it had come out in theaters. For context, I was in high school/college during the Days of Future Past, Armageddon, and Logan releases, and I saw them all in theaters. Even Fox knew this movie wasn’t good because they barely did any marketing for it. Disney didn’t really do any marketing after purchasing Fox either. FYI, There’s technically another movie called The New Mutants, which I didn’t know about until googling the list of X-men movies. For the collective sanity of all of us in the comments, I’ll recommend that you avoid that one and continue on with your journey of getting through some of the other Marvel media so you can watch Deadpool and Wolverine. I watched it without seeing any of the MCU tv shows first and felt like it held up itself well enough as a standalone film, but I can understand others in the comments that want you to check out some of the other things first.

ViperBreeze

ok. made it through the film. i was expecting more moments like in the beginning from you. However, that wasn't the case. The movie was subpar and had too much female empowerment vibes for sure....but MY GOD you made it difficult to watch through. Just like that movie...i think it was called Misery, with the woman that broke the man's legs to keep him in the house...so hard to watch when you do this. don't misunderstand, i believe this was not a very good film at all....but this was one of the very few times where you made it more difficult to sit through. (though through most of the film you WERE correct.)

Mister_Bleak

Id rather go Horse Hobbying than watch this again. But I will

Chris Robson

Yeah... I get it, MrLboyd is on the spectrum and doesn't 'get' how neurotypical emotions work.... what was happening with Jean Wasn't an example of 'going through some things with emotions', she was having a whole other league of problems.

Molly McAllister

This is the recurring theme about Xavier's flaws in all examples of the X-men franchise, comic-books, series, movies (if you can pick it out from all the 'MISANDRY'...) that Xavier is just a bit too full of himself and 'knows Best' and believes too much in his own infallibility and doesn't trust anybody else to do anything without his involvement.

Molly McAllister

Annnd we're done. First let me say fantastic reaction Sir!! I had a blast watching you. Laughed my ass off! Second , as always , great and interesting comments from all. Always a must read before a watch to see other folks opinions etc. Normally I would say more , but all I can say is this movie STILL SUCKED! Peace (One important question for Mr. LBoyd though... And I do hope I get an answer) Is this movie what New Jersey smells like?? ; ]

Madmanmarz1981

i can only guess as to why xavier wouldn't share his tech with the government. I'm guessing he and some geniuses or mutants or mutant geniuses put it together. He probably only trusts that kind of tech under his own supervision i suppose. he has little reason to trust the government after previous events. That would be my only guess.

Mister_Bleak

Logic is merely a tool. You can have flawless logic but if your basic assumptions which you are applying your logic to are flawed then it doesn't matter... like your assumption that anything coming out of the genocidal alien menace's mouth is worth anything.

Molly McAllister

Still, not sure if joking or... actually serious about holding people with mental illness accountable for things happening when they have an 'attack' of some sort, about wondering why an 8-year-old wouldn't protect her family using psychic powers she didn't know how to consciously control yet, or about each and every time a genocidal alien menace says the word 'man' it's not shorthand for 'humankind' but um, actually part of a specifically misandrist plot.

Molly McAllister

ok...so i can tell this is going to be a long one. right off the bat, in the beginning: you ask why the little girl, who obviously doesn't know about her powers as she claims not to be the one changing the radio, doesn't just protect her family as well. come on man, its blatantly obvious that this is her coming into her powers for probably the first time. it seems subconscious. Which means she doesn't even know she's doing it, let alone how it works or how to manipulate her power to save them. ok..that point done. let's see how the rest of this goes...

Mister_Bleak

It's okay, I can get through this... just gotta keep telling myself if you'd never seen Captain Marvel you probably wouldn't come away with all these cringe takes (either that or you're learning too-many of your social-masking cues from Jordan Peterson fans, but anyway let's go.)

Molly McAllister

Wandavision has mixed reviews, but almost everybody loved Loki and the orginal Daredevil series.

Molly McAllister

I'm almost tempted to watch the Youtube release of this just to see how much get's cut-out. As bad as the corporate-mandated 'not like that, like this; chicks will dig it, I'm very relevant and I know that because my majority shares in the company say so' writing was your "counterpoints" to that sound like they came from those cheesy 'why don't wimmin just shut up and make me a sammich?' podcasts.... and I know you're better than that. I KNOW you're better than that, you actually Have a wife and kids.

Molly McAllister

Complexity. In general the best villains are at least semi-multidimensional. It's what makes Attack On Titan so good

Alejandro Guerra

I have to say, it's not that she was going through something andthe movie mixesthins up. Jean Grey is just... the Pphoenix force, and usually it's a problem

Alejandro Guerra

08:37 - General question - How many basketballs do you think get lost or destroyed every time the X-Jet takes off?? Just struck me as funny for some reason...

Madmanmarz1981

Ok , Mutant Monday is BACK! And Jesus I can still remember the stink of this dumpster fire. Saw it once , and just hated it. I hope this may change my mind , but whatever happens , I'm sure it will be a fun reaction ta watch. The whole Phoenix Saga in the books was one of my fave's when it was coming out. Anyway , Checklist time! Edibles kickin in - Check - Fatties rolled and ready - Check - Beer cold - Check - smokes and Zippo - Check - And small prayer to Cthulhu that this will not hurt much - Check. Ok , Fuck it! We'll do it live!! Peace

Madmanmarz1981

lol, they got you so triggered when she said "x-women". that was pretty funny. i knew it was coming as soon as she said it. And by the way my dude, the term "Alien" is derogatory, what they prefer, and the politically correct term is, Extraterrestrial. Stay woke :) Also, this Disney acquired 21st Century Fox and the Xmen rights in March 2019, this movie came out in June 2019. You can't possibly think Disney produced and released a movie in 3 months.

David Melo

Going by the X-Men Series , next week would be New Mutants , then D&W. It depends on how he plans to continue with the Comic Book movies though before D&W. Blade and more. There's still a shit-ton of MCU TV and Film to go. And while some of us would recomend he skip this or that , it seems he want's to "See it all the way through himself." just like we all did. And I believe we are ALL down for the long haul as well. Peace : ]

Madmanmarz1981

I think Raven's concerns with Xavier aren't about him having any nefarious or selfish ends, I think she's more worried about him getting so caught-up in 'The X-Men' as 'The Project' he's losing sight of them as people. Sure, saving Most of that shuttle crew would've been good, but saving ALL of that crew was Great... and all it took was making Jean swallow an evil fire-storm from space.

Molly McAllister

He has never done the older Spiderman Movies so that might be fun but I am really hopeful he watches the Blade Trilogy just because like the older Spiderman movies that is nostalgic. I never watched the TV shows you mentioned.

Beaches

I never watched this, don't plan to, and skipped to your commentary at the end... it solidified everything I've heard lol. I personally would follow the MCU's order before Deadpool 3 to avoid confusion. WandaVision and Loki season 1 are good starters then maybe the older Marvel movies -- The Spider-Man trilogy, Amazing Spider-Man films, Blade trilogy, and maybe Daredevil.

JM

After finishing watching this with you I can say this movie is everything you said it was. I hope the Blade trilogy is next or even Daredevil or Electra. Id start with Blade first since his movies saved the Marvel Franchise.

Beaches

He needs to watch a few more films/shows before D&W.

JM

I was just seeing the trend of Deadpool to Logan to Deadpool 2 then thinking its gonna be Deadpool & Wolverine Next. YOU might have assumed I mean now-now-now... As far as movies he should see to get references I agree.

Beaches

Hank McCoy (Beast) is the engineer, and if he could design an engine that could get them into space (and why would he give such an engine to 'The Government'? The same Government that tried to blow him off the face of Cuba?) It could probably get them out of space to. Spaceships landing on a planet heat-up because they're using Aero-braking. Using the atmosphere's friction to slow them down enough that they can land and not miss the ground (yes, that's a thing). If you have powerful enough engines you don't need to do that and can just fly down to the planet without things getting super-toasty.

Molly McAllister

YOU may wanna see him do Deadpool & Wolverine now-now-now... I don't. I know he'll be confused as all hell if he jumps into that without seeing more of Marvel stuff. Remember, he's spent a large amount of his life overseas and missed-out on a lot of the US pop-culture the rest of us may take for granted.

Molly McAllister

That was a great idea. Thanks

Mikel Swart

i just skipped to the end so i can hear him rant , and it was worth it lol

Samuel Avetisyan

I was prepared thinking today would be Deadpool & Wolverine but I also haven't seen this movie so lets go.

Beaches

i've been sitting here for 15 minutes debating if i actually want to rewatch this or not. and i rewatched the last stand, origins, and apocalypses. i used to hate those movies and i've found enjoyment in them that didn't exist years ago. especially watching mr boyd experience them for himself... but i REALLY hate this movie. i have no idea what to do.

Soul Fist

They messed up the dark phoenix storyline twice fox deserved to fold for that shit they didn’t even wanna release Deadpool Ryan Reynolds had to leak the bridge scene for it to even get made
