Secret Santa Bundle 2024

Hey everyone! We've just released the bundle for this year for the Secret Santa thing, which Chosen Family Tree was written for. There's some really good stories in here, and it's a great opportunity to support thirty different trans authors.

I've not had the chance to read everything yet (in total, there are more words among all these stories than in Moby Dick, lmao), but here are some highlights from what I have seen:
- Derby's I'll Be Horned for Christmas has got that deergirl airport yuri that you crave. I really love Derby's writing and sense of humor, and Ashley from this story is just The Best.
- Speaking of deergirl yuri, Sierraffinity's If Your Gender Bends in the Forest... is also a delight, and depicts an idyllic queer community in the forest that is so, so great that I think it's very homophobic of the universe that I'm not living there this very instant.
- Lotus017 does really lovely, insightful stories, and Scales & Pendants is no exception. It's an urban fantasy focusing on dragons, with a very nice transhet romance and a main character who's kind of secretly a brat imo but in an endearing way.
- L. N. Violet's Second Person Perspective is exactly my shit: a realistic romance with some hidden identities and pining. It's about an online fiction author (lol) who finds that another author is ripping off her self-insert romance story plot, even though it's coming directly from her life. Wow, how could someone do something like that!!
- Sophibeans is imo an author to keep an eye on who does some really good stories that aren't solely about being trans but simply have trans people in them--but their transness is still integral to the plot and those characters. Mark of the Hallowed is a good example, a kind-of-domestic fantasy story exploring feelings being kindled into romance and coming to terms with loss/change/your parents.

I feel like I could go on and on... Ela's is a brilliant twisty little knot of a story about a breakup, Rainbow's is a short warm and fuzzy piece like she always does so well with, SylkWeaver has a chill werewolf story with charming characters, Rewq has a really funny and cute gay Hallmark Movie parody, and then as mentioned there are s e v e r a l by authors I know I like that I haven't gotten around to reading (JAK, Red, Zoe, etc. etc. etc.). And it has my story too, though hopefully you've already had the chance to read that. :)

If you can't afford the bundle right now or would prefer to wait, these will all be up on Scribblehub as well at some point. (I'm realizing the 2022 anthology never actually made it there, and am inquiring about it, but the stories will be accessible for free at some point, and we'll start having an anthology with regular posts in the very near future as soon as we get it organized, I'm just not certain on all the details)

Regardless, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season! I hope to try and get some further writing done as I get some time off near the end of the year, so fingers crossed that I can make progress and possibly even finish off some of my lingering projects. :) :)
