Bed is live

Update 2.47 (Bed), better known as the Varanar, Night Three, part one update, is now live. It contains the kobold finding its way to an inn, stumbling upon some old friends it may or may not have met before, and finally managing to score a room either through paying for it, or by employing one of four more unorthodox methods of persuasion.

A decent bit of content, but the most important thing this update brings, is an overview of the fairly intricate Varanar, Night Three scene. Some of the actions the kobold can take here, will influence a few of the options later down the road, and may even have an impact on some of the epilogues on day seven of the game.

Combining writing and programming was sort of a mixed success. Switching between the two is not an easy task, and I found myself naturally gravitating towards programming some parts on one day, then writing those parts on the next day, instead of doing both at the same time.

While I do think that programming scenes piece-by-piece (and not all at once) is the way to go, perhaps I should avoid mixing programming and writing; and instead divvy scenes into easily-separated blocks, which can then be programmed and written in order. I'll try this approach during the next update, and see how it goes!

 A full scene tree can be found below, as an attachment. Note that only a fragment of it has been implemented so far, but more will be coming in the nearby future. You can see and speculate about some of the things I have in store for Moe. There's some spicy things, and some stuff that might not sit well with everyone; but different strokes for different folks. I can assure you that every kink you don't enjoy can be easily avoided; although happiness is a rare find, as usual.

Today, I've had to sort out some more unpleasant technical issues concerning the Kobold Adventure project as a whole, which has taken a whole lot of soul and work lust to fix. There is a character sheet for the Three-Tailed Rat planned for the fifteenth, but sadly, I am afraid that I won't be able to make this deadline.

I'm feeling pretty darn drained, and in an attempt to maintain a steady pace, instead of burning myself out, the character sheet may be delayed a day or two, while I write out the Rat's backstory. Once that's done, we'll figure out what I do next.  Probably more Varanar, Night Three, but which part, I have not yet decided on. Maybe the thieving segment, or the sleeping part. We'll see.
