Silver City 1966 - Version 2

This track has had a fair bit of work on it since the last update.

As a reminder, this course was the winner of the vote I did to be a priority of my fictional tracks, and as such it’s now almost ready for release! But as ever, all my supporters here on Patreon will get the track first.

There’s been a lot of fixes, AI works better now. More, nicer 3D trees. Better grass and vegetation, shoutout to Mike08 for helping with this.

Thanks to RMi for helping with the extension files, shorter LOD has been set for some objects now so performance should be better.

So please, take you favourite car (doesn’t have to be from the 60’s) for a spin and let me know what you think 😊

I've noticed a fair few comments saying I should re-visit some of my older fictional tracks that really weren't finished (or very good, as they were from when I was just starting out)

I've definitley let them slip into unfinished hell, and newer projects have taken their place. Part of my hobby is making fictional circuits, I have loads that haven't been shared here. Would people be interested in a bundle / download of 'projects' even if like some of the earlier tracks I posted here, they may not be finished?

That being said, I've taken the feedback into account, and will try and revive one or two of the older ones, maybe do another poll or something, like I did with Silver City, as that seemed to work out quite well.

For what it's worth, I really enjoy the fictional tracks. Most of the real tracks have been done multiple times, although not usually with your attention to detail. If I want to drive a real track, I've got four other sims full of them. Some of the best-loved tracks are fictional - Apricot Hill, Trial Mountain, Mid Field etc. Most of the conversions try to keep them like the console version, which is fine for nostalgia, but I much prefer your Apricot Hill because it looks and feels like it could be a real track. I think the best fictional ones are those that use real terrain data to put a track somewhere there isn't one - like your Cannock Chase track. I live not far from Cannock Chase, and one day I'm going to see if I can work out where the track would be IRL!

I'll second that. I originally subbed for the Apricot Hill / Mid Field track, which is still one of the ones I drive the most. I'd love to see proper replay cameras for it.

Simple beautiful! I would like to see some of the Gran Turismo tracks revisited, but if you have more fun working on your own tracks then I would just do that. :-)
