2024-10-28 14:56:41 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if anyone else has said this, but volume 5 ending which is where Alice has gotten with the books so far, ends with Nick telling Charlie about wanting to go to Leeds & being supportive and nervous. So I was so shocked when they ended a scene early in the show but Alice said they did that because they hadn’t been renewed for another season. So I’m praying we get a season 4. It won’t be for a year or two if we get it because they are still writing the final volume. But it’ll be based off the novella Nick & Charlie & volume 6 to end it off. I can’t wait. We better get a season 4. I’m sure we will because Netflix loves Heartstopper!

The train is also a good option, and let’s not forget about FaceTime. I’m old enough to remember life without FaceTime and cellphones and people made long distance work. I’m hoping we get a season 4, Alice said in an interview that she is currently writing the last book of the series and if they do get the green light for season 4, it will be the final season.

2024-10-25 15:34:06 +0000 UTCi think its also a cultural thing though, like i go to uni right near leeds and live where charlie lives and in the uk people dont take cars to uni (at least in 1st year - you're literally not allowed to) so every time i go home it takes 4 trains and costs £80, so its a bit more complicated and expensive than just popping home even if the distance isnt that far

I always find it interesting what British folks define as 'far away' when you could drive a place in a couple hours but for context I am Canadian so driving from Toronto to Montreal in less then 6 hours is a nice and timely adventure for a long weekend getaway lol
