2025-06-25 05:13:46 +0000 UTCthe timing of that last scene and the parallel of the video ending was kinda hilarious. poor arlo is already dealing with so much and now has to live with his dad dying right before his eyes and thats pretty harsh. it seems like the people who wrote this film didnt research dinosaurs or people very well. non-avian dinos didn't exist along side humans, in fact we missed each other by tens of millions of years! the paleogene period, aka the era right after the mass extinction of non-avian dinos and revival of more mammalian life form, and the pleistocene epoch, aka the 'ice age', were roughly 65 to 55 million years apart! one of the archaic humans before homo sapians, the homo erectus, were the earliest human species to actually look and move like the modern homo sapien were also extraordinary concerning their capabilities of migration and survival of their communities. they are dated to having lived through the early pleistocene to middle pleistocene for about 2 milllion years. i wouldnt say they ran about like little puppy dogs, but i understand this is a lovely movie meant for children so things like this don't really matter.
