This is my first Patreon video (I didn't want to wait anymore for RWBY) and you immediately telling the sun to go away caught me off guard. Going forward in the show, almost everyone is based off of a reference. Some after fairytales, or historical etc. Some people are made to compliment a character with a reference, for example, instead of having a reference they are essentially an OC and are made to be a sibling/parent/relation to a character with a reference. They're usually used as Easter eggs and only some of them have an impact to the story. Also, the song Rwby is listening to in the first scene is the Volume 1 intro. The soundtrack is so awesome and if you are able to catch lyrics, they often tell of a characters inner thoughts/history.
