The fact that she shows up during his "play" on the beach and is such a cute little mom to him is so... so precious ;w; That part where she walks away from Mayor Dewey then walks back into frame to sit in the back row? Priceless. And that adorable little "oh!" at 18:06 when the big scary tentacle pops up? It's so cute. She truly does love Steven ;w;

2025-01-24 14:10:31 +0000 UTCThe thing that bothers me about “flawless female characters” is that for some men only male characters can and/or should be flawless (so they can live out their escapist power fantasies) but when a female character is flawless she’s a “Mary Sue” and “badly written”. It also doesn’t help that some men will idolize the most horrible male characters of all time *cough*Anakin Skywalker*cough*, ignoring his various war crimes while never forgiving a female character for the crime of being slightly mean.

Can't wait for Mosco to watch more Peridot. She's the best character IMO, though my favorite is obviously Pearl. We named one of our cats Peridot, I mean, what better name for a cat, right? XD Sending love to y'all! Especially any LGBT folks in the US right now. Like Pearl we have to stay strong, for ourselves and for each other.
