Patreon Price Increase Poll?
Added 2025-01-08 19:24:59 +0000 UTCHey folks!! So I was thinking of moving my Patreon Price up to $9 instead of $8, and for that extra price I was going to try and push you guys to be 3 or 4 reactions ahead compared to Youtube.
I would also like to start doing more animated movies this year (you've probably seen some sitting on my Trello). These MAY eventually end up on Youtube but likely they'll take ages to edit anyway so you guys may get them weeks or even months before Youtube, if they're not Patreon exclusives.
What would you guys want? Keep the $8 price tag and stay just 2 reactions ahead, or build up more for the $9? :D

I kind of wish there was a cheaper option without the movies included though - if that is possible with Patreon's programming. Also, it would be nice to have at least 1 movie reaction there if you switch to that model. ^^

2025-01-10 10:05:57 +0000 UTCyeah, same, I'm here for the uncut videos more than being ahead, but i'm largely fine with paying mosco an extra $12 a year anyways, her videos have become such a staple of my tuesday/thursday/sunday lunch breaks, it's worth the extra buck a month.

2025-01-09 21:08:02 +0000 UTCI'd heavily suggest going forward with mutant mayhem soon, it's art direction is really fun and creative in similar ways to across the spiderverse, I think you'd really like it, even if just for the visual spectacle. (i'd also love to see land before time, just because it was a childhood staple, most Don Bluth movies would be good react's really, even if you've seen them before (as I assume anybody from our generation has)

It's basically just a list of stuff in production, you can see what she's recorded but not posted, what she intends to record soon, whats on patreon but not edited for youtube yet etc. (it's why people started posting jailbreak spoilers in the discord a few days before she posted it, because they could see she had already watched it) There is a big list of movies on there she's been meaning to watch for a while now that she's referencing, i'm most interested in the new-ish ninja turtles movie myself, since that gets real creative with the animation and art direction in a way I think mosco will love.

That being said, I think an extra dollar so I can be even further ahead on your SU reactions alone is worth it to me 😅Im gonna check out this Trello thing and see what you've got brewing for the future!

(Hilda's pretty fun, but I've never cared about SU or Duck Tales) I will probably be of a very different opinion once Mighty Nein and Lackadaisy come out. ;-)

I like being ahead :D and I want to work on getting my edits ahead too, so that way if I take ill or need a week off I can get it without worrying.

(I don't really want to vote as I can't afford it but I understand why the question.) Heck, you could do a different mid tier to help get the animation things going for those who can and want to support you in these endeavors. However, do not overwork yourself. There is youtube/creator burnout for a reason. Just got to find your balance.

I would much rather stay where it lies now and have a healthy and happy you than have it go up and have a stressed and unhappy you. Ultimately it's up to you but my 2 cents is just be safe about it.

If something gets too expensive, I have to pare back on some others, and folks that i only follow for a single series are often the first to go. That said, I don't think I've seen any Patreon accounts set up that allow for people to just choose specific individual series only, like an à la carte menu. Like, if you want to see someone's SU reactions, just purchase access to those only from their Patreon. And then if they also want to see their Star Wars reactions, they just purchase access to those posts as well for an additional fee. I suspect that's because the tier setup Patreon operates on isn't compatible for a cart-based 'add custom items' sort of thing, but I think it might be beneficial to creators and viewers alike.

That said, I think the option should be more about what feel you can provide regularly. I'd rather watch X videos per time interval from a robust, happy Mosco than I would want to pay more to watch X+1 videos per time interval from a stressed-out, rushed Mosco.

That said, you do great work, and I'm perfectly happy paying an extra $12 a year for the entertainment. (and if it finally gets us 2022's ninja turtles movie that's been on trello, so much the better, it's right up there with across the spiderverse, for some of the most creative art direction i've ever seen, It'd be a very fun react)

Being ahead of YouTube is not important to me but additional reactions would be fun. If at some point there are no reactions that interest me, I’ll cancel my subscription regardless of the price.

While I love your reactions, at this point I’m here exclusively for Steven Universe, and I’m paying more here than I am for most other creators already. I like supporting folks on Patreon, but it’s getting to the point where I’m not going to be able to afford to support everyone I have been supporting. It really sucks and I wish things were different, but that’s where I stand.

And an extra dollar from each of us could have a significant impact on your finances. I, for one, don't need an increase to our video advancement to justify you doing whatever you need to do. I won't be voting here because my perspective can't be properly expressed in a simple yes or no format. My opinion boils down to "I think you should do what you need to exist how you want in this end stage capitalist society.

We're not getting anything more, you'd just be making the rest of your audience wait longer. We'd still be getting the same amount of content unless you're updating faster. I do not recommend you double your speed of uploading just for a dollar. Again, I'm all for one of my favorite creators giving themself a raise. You absolutely deserve it. Just... not seeing any benefits.
