that entire clash at the start, plus the heavy breathing, lasted approximately 2 and a half minutes; pretty sure it barely even lasted two pages in the manga.

Less "remade," more '"finally adapted" -- the current animated series has always been categorized as non canon supplemental media for the manga. Technically, the whole series is filler. By design, the new series is an actual anime adaptation of the One Piece manga.

When Wano gets remade in the future like Fishmen Island now, everything that has happened until the end of Bakura Town can be done in like 4 episodes without losing any essential information. The amount of dragging early Wano has is crazy. Wano in general, in my opinion, is an overextended arc. There's a lot that if hadn't happened, wouldn't have changed anything in the end, and on top of that, the anime extends it even more with filler scenes and the episode pacing in general with unnecessary flashbacks, still images with dramatic music, etc. That's why I think it's so good they are taking this 6-month break in the anime now, so it doesn't happen in what's to come after Egghead. They killed the Reverie with flashbacks, they oversaturated Wano with bad pacing, One Piece doesn't deserve this. Maybe it will become like Bleach. The viewers wait a whole year for 13 episodes, but every episode gets straight to the point from minute 1, movie-like animation all the time, no BS. If One Piece needs to take 6 months every now and then not to turn 80% of the episodes into a waste of time, I'll wait happily.

with the same logic Jack should have called Doflamingo also a giant because he was very tall too

Uselesskazuma

And that's the urashima scene lol

luck64

The sumo shit is not drawn out like this in the manga lol.

Glen

bro giants are enormous, urashima is big but I don't think he's nearly as tall as any giant we've seen so far. I bet if you stood kid hajrudin and urashima next to each other they would be nearly the same height.

In a lot of other languages there's gendered words. An example in german is der, die, das,, all mean "the" but are masculine, feminine, and nuetral respectively. Sessha is a gendered example for "I" in Japanese.

Fae

Why did I also want that converted into Big Macs before you even said it. I haven't even had one in almost a year. But I'd also be happy to eat one at any point so I get it. Not 6 though. Max is 4 at a time.

Omniplaystation

Late Wano does too. Most people just forget because of all the extra flash they put in some of the fights.

Waywatcher Fireson

Early wano pasing is so bad. Im glad it steps up later

Sceptic Llama

whos gonna tell Jack that the pose Luffy did is not a reference to 4th gear and the whole aesthetic of it is a traditional kabuki style/pose

Uselesskazuma

Toei Pacings final form

Portalbeard

i also forgot but i might not have realized it when i was first watching all this because Dressrosa and Whole Cake loved to drag too so i thought its good now in Wano

Uselesskazuma

i forgot how much time wasting early wano had
