Spot on. Poor Cam's life in that reality was so incredibly sad. :( And I agree - it would have been really interesting to see more of that world. Looking forward to SGA!

2022-10-15 20:24:45 +0000 UTCI'm pretty happy Stargate never spent more than 2 episodes in an alternate reality/universe. They had enough going on without that, and visited a similar reality with Daniel and Shifu in season 4.

2022-10-15 20:10:00 +0000 UTCAccording to the producers. originally it was planned for William Devane to come back as President Hayes, but his schedule was busy so they had to swap it around to make Landry president & bring back Hammond to run the SCG I agree with you, this could've been at minimum a 2 parter, but they could've easily gotten a multi episode serialized arc out of this one. The reveal of civil liberties being suspended could've taken longer & then there could be a much further delving into just how bad things were. Sam could've visited alternate Vala in the Area 51 prison while she was there. Would Jack still be in stasis in Antarctica & maybe even Sam could manage to jumpstart a rebellion it wasn't a simple swap character positions or a few things are different kind of reality. It seemed felt like even if we didn't get a detailed history that the writer's sat down & fully mapped out the past 3 years of this alternate reality so it does feel like a shame that the history doesn't get to be explored

Just something about it, and knowing they know at this point that they're in the endgame of the series... it's very touching.
