2022-05-15 10:21:15 +0000 UTCThank you for the reaction. It's amazing to me how Scully/Mulder never seem to call for backup when they need it, or are in pursuit of a suspect. When Scully realized it was him, and had Mulder on the phone, she hung up the phone, and pursued the suspect by herself. She shoulda left the phone on, let Mulder hear everything, or she should have called for backup imediately, or something. I'm always shocked how they always do these things solo lol, that would not happen in the real-world. Anyway, the way I look at this episode is that it is "trying" to comment on a bigger topic, that is "what if you could see into the mind of a killer". But, I guess it came off not executed well. For me, it just feels like a 'filler ep' so, nothing major, on to the next.

John F Kennedy's sister was probably the most well known victim of the procedure, and it's pretty horrific what it did to her. There was one bit in Bioshock Infinite where you experience a first person perspective of the start of a lobotomy and it's one of the most disturbing/unsettling few minutes of a video game you'll ever experience. Not the greatest episode, which explains why I don't remember it. I thought at first the picture he took of himself was going to convince him to lobotomise himself, which would have been an interesting ending.
