So many Ba'al's in this one. This one is really all Ba'al's out. Lots of lovely Ba'al's. They really Ba'al'd up this one. How many Ba'al's does it take to change a light bulb? These Ba'al's lookin good in that drip. They sure cut off that Ba'al. She was surrounded by Ba'als. Ok I'll stop.

I really like this one. There's something so funny about Ba'al in his suits and talking in his normal voice. He's less immediately menacing but somehow more sinister as a scheming businessman. Also, love his polo shirt at the end there with his logo on it. This season is so good.

From what we’ve seen of the others, I think Ba’al is the only system lord that has enough self control to actually hide out on earth. Every other system lord and Goauld we’ve seen has been crazy power hungry psychos. Seth was on earth for centuries and all he did was start cults and kill people. Ba’al not only hid out, he made the most of his time on earth. I don’t think any of the others could have done that. Even Anubis tried to murder his way off earth almost immediately.

I love how Ba'al started out as a typical evil goa'uld(system lord summits, torturing Jack, etc..) and has slowly morphed into one of the most fun goa'uld over the years. This idea that he just wants to hang out on Earth, buying cryptocurrency and tech companies, living that billionaire lifestyle with sexy secretaries, all while ostensibly agreeing to be a good boy and leave all the murder and enslavement behind. Of course cloning humans is illegal, so he's already crossed some lines legally. Doubt there's any law against adding naquadah to a building's frame, but threatening to blow up a city, well that's definitely terrorism. Still, gotta admire how the guy can pivot from god to businessman and still enjoy himself. Also funny you compared him to Iron Man, as a few seconds later Jackson mentions a "Stark Consortium". Shame seeing the jaffa continue to become more and more belligerent. I mean what's Bra'tac saying in all this. Definitely not the relationship between the Tau'ri/Tok'ra/Jaffa you'd expect or hope for after his speech in Allegiance. Real talk though, this might be the most egregious episode in terms of "how the hell is the stargate still secret after that".
