Oh, also wanted to add, I like the twist that Dawn is an innocent in this, she isn't the big bad evil, she isn't evil at all, she's just human, and doesn't even know what she was before. That's a great subversion of expectations.

What a gross thing to say. Get some help.

What they did with Dawn I've always found to be something very bold for a TV show to do. To just throw in a new character out of no where for a new season, with no explanation, and just confuse the crap out of everyone watching, that's bold! I have always loved that they did this. It's also bold because everyone has the memories as if Dawn did exist all her life, so to everyone she is real, and to Dawn herself, she's real. So in a way they literally just conjured a brand new person in the middle of a TV series! That's a bold move that not many shows would do. So I always applaud them for that. I also liked that we do get a very good reveal this early on in the season, they didn't drag it out till the end of the season, they hit us with this major reveal now, which is awesome. I love the Dawn character honestly, I think she bounces off well with Buffy, you really can see them two being real sisters, it just works.

Brent Justice

That's, incredibly harsh.

Brent Justice

That's Ravil Isyanov, Russian immigrated actor. You should see the list of his movies! He plays small parts, but does it really well.

9:48 - Dawn is my number 1 disliked character in all of TV. I can't stand that egotistic, stupid, spoiled, emotionally deaf, childish and irresponsible brat. She acts like she is a 6 year old, and a bit retarded in development. Maybe a couple of smacks from Buffy while Mom isn't look would straighten her brains.

Scarlett Monrow

This is easily in my top 10 Buffy episodes ever. A satisfying reveal (plus the relief that the writers weren't actually retconning Buffy's family history and hoping to get away with it), a compelling villain, and an all-around good watch. Also, side-note, but the actor who played the monk killed it. Definitely adds to the gravitas of the moment.

Yeah, Dawn is a complete innocent, and her situation is kind of tragic. She knows nothing of what she is or was, and made into a completely normal helpless human girl whose entire life was manufactured out of nothing. At least Buffy has realized just how desperate her situation really is. If she doesn't take care of Dawn, pretty much nobody will.

Now would be a good time to remember some very important dream sequences if you care to. Nothing happens randomly in this show. Out. For. A. Walk……. Bitch. Maybe the most famous Spike line.

Well, now we can stop screwing with your head since Dawn's origin has been revealed at last. Obviously it was pretty clear that something was off since the start of the season, but at least she's not some malicious entity. That's bad news in a way though, because apparently Joyce is genuinely sick. And whoever the psycho lady in the red dress is, I'd say she's vastly stronger than a slayer. I don't see Buffy pulverizing a heavy wooden door or sending a giant slab of steel flying across the room. Not to mention taking a building down with a temper tantrum over breaking a shoe. Hell even having a warehouse collapse on her seemed like an inconvenience to her. I think Buffy is well and truly outmatched. Fuckin Giles in that costume though. Good to see him finding some success in his post watcher years, and him and Anya teaming up is a good combo. Also that proud look on Anya's face after fixing Willow's terrible attempt at gift-wrapping. Her mannerisms are adorable, especially considering her former occupation. And the drama with Spike continues. Looks like shaking off an erotic dream was too much to expect of him. "Out. for. A. Walk...........bitch" was hilarious though. Wonder if there are any bloopers of that scene.

Your mom is adorable- so pretty!
