Stargate is meant to be fun - I just wish people had more respect for FailWhale's experience with it.

Yeah in the update he made he said he wouldn't be doing anymore double bubble uploads as one upload anymore. I'm assuming because dropbox only lets you watch an hour and there are people who can't or don't want to download the file or wait until the google file is up. I get it, but still, gonna miss the double bubbles. Was the only time we'd *sometimes* get 3 SG eps a week!

Ah, Anubis, here we go. If you want to know, in our mythology Anubis is the Egyptian God of the afterlife or underworld. (not a spoiler since you could have learned about this in school and easily looked up who the Egyptian Gods were in mythology, it doesn't give anything away for the show Anubis, you don't have to watch Stargate to know who the Egyptian Gods were in the real-world) This is a really great episode, and as someone noted above the Tok'ra have lost a LOT of people in this one episode, yikes. Also something you may not have caught, but Jacob said that the Goa'uld have stopped population growth, and he doesn't know why. That's why it is a unique time to strike now. I like seeing all the other system lords, I think Ba'al had a really strong presence, the actor seemed to be very good at his facial expressions. I know Daniel doesn't want to kill Sarah, but really he spoiled a really good opportunity to kill mostly all the system lords here, even if Anubis wasn't there yet. It would have still shaken things up. But I get it.

As much as they annoy me, you have to feel bad for the Tok'ra. They're dropping like flies and their numbers were limited to begin with. A lot of losses this episode :(

Zipacna is probably one my favorite Goauld <3 Great actor too, pops up from time to time, and boy do those system lords have good wardrobe budgets, probably requires a small naquadah mine just to pay for the shoes

Man the tok'ra got rekt. RIP to Aldwin especially, one of the few that I actually liked. Ren'al wasn't bad either. At least Jacob didn't get caught up in the attack. But really, the tok'ra have TERRIBLE strategy. First, they should never have had all their eggs in one basket. Even with a main base, most of their people should be spread out to smaller secondary bases. Also they really ought to move the stargate underground and install some type of iris or forcefield, as well as a way to block incoming wormholes altogether. We saw in 48 Hours that the iris if moved back just a bit can block a connection altogether. I've argued before that the SGC should have a system that can prevent an incoming wormhole as well as merely block the event horizon. Of course I get that the idea is for the stargate to remain on the surface and anyone who uses it merely has no idea a tok'ra base is beneath them, but at least split your people up between 10-12 bases. Better yet arrange the theft of one of those al'kesh(you can see how incredibly tiny the gate is next to one) and use it to take gates to entirely new worlds not on the goa'uld cartouche on Abydos. So many ways this attack could have been prevented or at least mitigated. And not only did we get a name for this new menace that they've built up over the season, seemingly as a replacement for Apophis, but a bunch of new system lords as well. Some new blood was needed with how many SG1 has knocked off over the years. Zippy and Yu were about the only ones left(and Osiris, but she or he is more recent as well). Also maybe it's just me but I loved seeing Zipacna back. Always found him a rather entertaining goa'uld. He's just so snarky and arrogant, yet always licking someone else's boots. It's like he's got small snake syndrome or something. Having seen the expanse, whenever I hear Anubis on SG1, I just imagine Miller or Amos popping in and saying "who's this Ann-you-bis character?". And poor Elliot. He goes in all excited and just gets destroyed. At least Grogan wasn't there. He'd have gotten shot somehow before the jaffa even got into the tunnels. Overall this was a big L for the good guys. Whatever you think of the tok'ra, they're still our allies, and they got his HARD. Granted there are probably dozens if not hundreds off on missions who will survive, but it's not looking good.
