I saw a lot of hate towards Namida in the Crunchyroll comments for this episode. Kinda sad; I find her very endearing. I do think she doesn't seem too fitting to be a shinobi, but if that's what she wants to do, I support her lol Her crying power reminds me of the first time Sasuke and Naruto fought at the Final Valley when one-tailed cloak Naruto yelled at Sasuke's fireball jutsu and dispelled it. Her pants even look like the shorts version of Naruto's original pants.

Especially because it doesn't go to waste and is brought up and remembered throughout the series in episodes that happen later on. It's actual development and not tossed asside once the epiosde is over. =D
