2026-03-01 03:55:54 +0000 UTCAs for Jack's noble phantasm, the novel did reveal what their powers are here and the anime seemingly don't have time to explain them, so I'll kinda explain it here The first noble phantasm you saw “From Hell” is a noble phantasm that based on the folklore and myths that Jack the Ripper may be a demon, so it transforms him into this demon type phantasmal species (not a true demon). This noble phantasm scales with the population density within 5km of where it is used, because it utilizes human’s fear and terror to kind of source its power. So if it is used in empty plain fields, desert and such the noble phantasm is basically just equivalent to a large beast, whereas in a large city like Snowfield, it becomes this monster that can even match a skilled fighter type or marshal type servant. The Second noble phantasm “Natural Born Killers” is based on the myth and tales that Jack the Ripper is actually a group of people, an organization of killers and such. So it basically allows Jack to morph into multiple entities, which he basically started using like last episode spawning various police officers. The number of bodies he can spawn depends on the master’s magical energy, and since Flat is like THE most talented mage we have seen basically in whole fate verse, with an EX rank in both quantity and quality of his magic circuits, the only one to possess this that we know of. He gets to fully utilize this ability and can spawn a maximum amount of 512 bodies. But since the amount stuff he can spawn also correlates with the power of the entities he spawn, so when using both noble phantasm together, he can’t spawn 500 demons at once, but he can still spawn over 200 of them at a time. So basically he can have 200+ fighter type servants that can fly and shoot beams fighting together at a time, which is VERY strong, shame that he is fighting Alcides, like one of the strongest servant you can get in normal grail wars.

2026-02-28 18:56:08 +0000 UTCThe line where Jack said to Alcides before using noble phantasm, so long as you nature is human, you will be hunted by an ordinary "slaher?" with no power seems like a pretty bad translation that didn't get Jack's aura farming across properly. The japanese word for it was 殺人鬼, basically bloodthirsty killer, cold-blooded murderer etc. So he was basically saying since you have given up being associated with god, instead is just a mere human now, obviously you'll be susceptible to be hunted by a bloodthirsty serial killer (like Jack). It makes that line go so much harder than a random slasher which kinda make no sense.
