Tarashiyaki is an Oarai varian of Okonomiyaki, that restaurant is real and serves it. Momo house is also a real place, a stationery shop too. Zaza coffee its also a real coffee chain in Ibaraki (The region north to tokio) the real name is Saza. Also, you can eat the real Marie cake in that coffee. The panda is the mascot of the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) not the wrestling thing. This anime is the proof that anime can save real places, this anime saved Oarai town after the 2011 tsunami

2025-02-27 18:05:48 +0000 UTCComment Part for the Chihatan Battle part of the movie: - 47:04: You know... it still feels pretty crazy to me to just catch a break and sit down, eat etc. during these matches. - 50:18: The explanation given by Spitz certainly seems to explain it well enough for the non presence of China and Korea. - 50:59: The "most" in and out universe joke ever being made into a joke. After all... Sodoko and the others are all voiced by the same VA, so it's one person scaring herself. - 53:03: At a point earlier, you did question if the video audio got lower... here, it definitely returned to normal volume. - 1:03:27: The greatness of it being in movie format like this in this specific case... only the best of the best in terms of storyboard and overall direction of each segment... which in this case is the director of Girls und Panzer as a whole. - 1:04:42: Looking at the tournament tree... there are certainly only schools we know of from the TV series on the right part of the tree with the only one Oarai has not fought in an official tournament match yet being St. Gloriana. And I guess... the other opponent after Chihatan... would make sense to finally be the Continuation High School after they ever so often just sat back in the background or in a generally smaller role. - 1:04:54: Like I have said before... it is very much possible and likely that Alice will just end up in one of the already known schools... looking at the tournament tree again... I guess it'd be the best if she was apart of St. Gloriana to give them a special additional ingredient to work with?

What a masterful out of the box strategy to use a similarly looking tank from Oarai's own team as bait for BC Academy to fall into in-fighting again. - 3:15: You be saying Toei Animation anime... *oh*, that certainly does bring up Precure in my mind at first. Though... I am not sure if it'd be suited for a Patreon exclusive from the amount of people who'd watch it. At the very least, I do guess that the very few reactors to it on YouTube are partially explained through the copyright. - 6:56: I would guess that das Finale focuses only on this tournament. Though... there remains the question why one would call it das Finale in the first place if there is something afterwards still. - 13:29: Internally laughing the entire time at the two vice-commander names in Oshida and Andou due to well two major animators on Pokémon being called Oshida and Andou as well. - 32:28: Wait... doesn't that line have a translation error? Like I am sure that it's meant to say that Kawashima will want to attend the same university as the other two from the old student council. Her siblings doesn't quite make any sense there. - 37:04: As you were told, it's the Finnish Continuation Academy. The University Select Team is not listed here... and Alice well... I suppose she will join one school which will face Oarai eventually. (cut off at 37:25)

2025-02-22 09:12:14 +0000 UTCIf you're thinking about China and Korea since over the past few decades yeah they have formidable armies. But the problem is Senshado in the show has a rule of only tanks designed since the first tank up to the last day of WW2 are allowed. Basically only from WW1 through WW2. Now you have to think about the histories of China and Korea in those years. Sadly Korea was already completely occupied by Japan by 1910 until end of WW2, no longer an independent country just a Japanese colony. China was also constantly under heavy Japanese invasion and Japan controlled about 25% of China by WW2. China was never able to develop their own tanks in those wars, they only bought tanks from the Allied countries. So if China was a school in the show they would just look like another Oarai. As a side note, even if they had their own tanks, as a Japanese show/manga referencing these wars, the creators probably also didn't think much about including these 2 countries because of the infamous atrocities Japan committed against them during their invasion and occupation of them...

2025-02-21 21:54:14 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if I'm supposed to post it here, but my personal recommendation for Patreon would be "NHK ni Youkoso!" in case you haven't seen/read it. It's a semi-short series and there shouldn't be copyright problems, but it falls very much into the niche cult classic category. And since nobody recommended anything super gory I'll recommend "Kemonozume" as well. It's the most unique spin on Romeo and Juliet out there, both in visuals and concept. Both of these shows have really memorable OSTs as well.

2025-02-21 21:41:18 +0000 UTCNot too sure you noticed, but for the final fight against BC Freedom, when they start singing the Onion song while running away, it was 3 voices (Marie, and her two vice-commanders). As each tank is taken out, their voice stops singing until finally it's just Marie's voice singing the song alone. It's actually very well done IMO. And now, a BUNCH of new teams. I won't go into any details on these teams except their themes, since at this point we only get a short glimpse of each: Koala Forest Academy (fighting Chihatan): This one is preeeeeetty easy to figure out. Their theme is obviously Australia. Oh, and yes, their Commander is ACTUALLY a Koala. Don't ask. Maginot Girls' College (fighting Black Forest): Their theme is Pre-War France. Yep, a 2nd school based on France (albiet different time periods). Viking Fisheries High School (fighting Pravda): Their theme is pretty easy to guess if you know anything about Vikings: Their theme is Norway. Blue Division High School (fighting Saunders): Their theme is Spain. Fun fact: Their skimpy uniforms are actually based on the Spanish Legionnaires. Just google "Spanish Legionnaires" and go to images to see the resemblance. Waffle Academy (fighting St. Gloriana's): Waffles? Any guesses? Oh wow, you got it, they're Belgium of course! Yogurt Academy (fighting Continuation): Bulgaria! SIDE NOTE: "Keizoku High School" is Continuation High School, or Finland, who helped us in der Film. There's actually 3 different ways this team is referred to as, so it can get confusing. English: Continuation High School, Japanese: Keizoku High School, Finnish: Jatkosota High School. I wish they'd just stick to a single one, lol. And finally... Bonple High School (fighting Anzio (and best girl Anchovy)): Poland!
