2024-07-04 22:05:22 +0000 UTC12:30 I have a LOT of issues with romance/rom-com animes. The tropes of missed chances, interrupted intimacy, "Stop criminal scum! You saw 'my panties/me in the bathroom/me changing!' Now you die!," no one EVER kisses/has the sex/commits to a relationship, etc. This series embrace, fully, TOO fully, all of the wonderful, goofy things that come with enthusiastic, concentual, intentional relationships. Over the top? Yup. Ludicrous? Hell yeah. Miserably un-loving? No fing way. These characters k own what they want, and they WILL have it, and the people they want are totally on board. It just feels great.
