2nd Story Follow Up Poll

Alright, first poll got a decent number of votes, with people preferring I use a cannon character for the story. Just for reference, here's the story description again:

Fanfiction: Mass Effect: The Final Error

Liara T'soni did not believe in taking chances. After all that had happened, what she believed in was redundancy. With the Reapers on the way, she didn't put all her hope in her former lover. Most of it? Yes. But not all.

Some redundancies, she told others about. Such as her preparation of knowledge responsories. Time capsules for the next cycle, intended to prepare future species for the Reapers in the event that the war was lost.  Others, she told no one about. Sponsoring the Andromeda initiative, hiding her part through the broker's network, providing much of their funding. That was one effort, as it would ensure that some of their species would be far beyond the reach of the Reapers. Hopefully. She told no one, not even Shepard, so that no one would ever know to follow them in the first place.

But...there were others, others she didn't mention to anyone not out of security concerns...but because they were utterly absurd. Shots in the dark, mystical gobbly-gook, things she didn't expect to work but threw a few million meaningless credits at...just in case. So when the sacrificial guinea pig of one such experiment finds themself waking up over a hundred years in the past, in the body of a small Asari child...how will the future be changed?

Now, I had outlined three characters I think I can use. Each of them is doing to be a slightly different take, if I do with them.

EDI: This would be the single biggest alteration. Instead of Liara organizing to send someone back, something would go wrong with the Catalyst at the end of ME3. I have a plan for it that will sort of make sense...and explain how EDI could end up in an Asari body. Yes, that's right. EDI would end up in an organic body...and very confused by that fact.

Oriana Lawson: This is 100% straight the story as written in the description. Oriana will have volunteered for the project, wanting to do SOMETHING to help, even though she's not a combatant. She has the least detailed knowlege of events...but she'll rapidly become a certifiable badass in her own right, much like her sister. I admit, I'm tempted to memory transfer her into her own body, rather than an Asari body. Ultimately, the main different between the Oriana and Kelly versions is that Oriana will focus on combat and probably directly join Shepard's team for a significant portion of canon.

Kelly Chambers: Same as Oriana in many respects, except that I'm not considering a memory transfer. She'd flat out be sent back into an Asari body. The reason for this is that Kelly's version of this story would be much less direct-combat focused. Remember, she's never a combatant in cannon...and while she'll try to change that, she'll focus far more on behind the scenes manipulation to prepare the galaxy for what's coming. Given plenty of time to do so, there will be some major changes to the balance of the galaxy... In many ways this one will be the most original, going off the rails from canon even once it eventually get there. It'll also probably have the most sex, drugs, and rock and roll in it. Well...mostly sex. Kelly was ALREADY a bit...free-love? That's the nice way to put it I guess. She was already a bit 'free-love' in canon. Put in the body and culture of an Asari maiden...
