Progress Update

I ended up making my own from scratch since the various versions of Renpy inventories around the net were quickly deemed by me to be hilariously over complicated for a simple VN. Technically, what I made is slightly on the crude side, but only slightly. It is more than adequate for the limited amount I'm intending to use it, at any rate. It's mostly only there to hold gift items for the girls in a way that lets you easily keep track of them. Though in the future it's possible it may hold other things.
That was all sorted on Monday, and I was technically planning to take care of the intro section of the game today/yesterday(depending on how you count the days, I'm sure you've all realized by now that I tend to do a lot of my work on the games in the early A.M.). Unfortunately, I kinda got sandbagged by a combination of burnout (Remember me saying I hate programming? I've been pretty much toying with programing problems for a week straight at this point, several hours every day on top of regular work) and a migraine that left me feeling too much like crap to muscle through the burnout. Net result, I took the day off of programming and as such didn't make a ton of progress.
However! I did do a thing. Namely, the attached piece of art. I'd never really liked the idea of literally the first thing you see in the game intro being a stock image or placeholder graphic...but I'd had a hard time justifying to myself spending the time to make a background that's likely to be used literally once. For that reason, I hadn't made an original piece for the intro. But, wanting to feel like I was doing something productive on the game today, I decided to knock out a pretty simple image to use during the intro scene. It's not quite up to the standard I held for the other backgrounds I've made so far, since I didn't want to burn multiple days of effort on a single-use image, but I think it came out half-decent....
