January 11, 2025 - Update

Hi!

As always happens, what I thought would be a few chapters to finish book 11 turned out to be more. I’m 3 to 4 chapters from the end though, which will bring the total number of chapters for book 11 to around 80. If you do the math that’s almost 25 chapters past what I released tonight.

Travis needs the finished book on the 20th. I must finish the book this weekend and then revise these last 25 chapters since they are first draft chapters. Then I need to reread the entire book and do a revision to smooth everything out and fix inconsistencies and address feedback.

Here is my problem. I write in a vacuum. The only feedback this series gets before its published is from you. We all know how insanely complex this story is. Shocker, I get things wrong or just forget them. Having someone else read the story and offer feedback is good for the series.

I always planned on releasing the whole book before Travis starts his Narration because you’ve supported the story and deserve to read it first. Now, if I want feedback, though, I need to release it even earlier as I need time to make the changes/corrections.

Time is the real enemy here. I feel like I need to release all the chapters next week so that it gives you a chance to read them and give me feedback. The problem with this is, I won’t have anything to post for probably a month.

Please let me know your thoughts in the comments.

I opened up all the remaining Patreon chapters for Divine Awakening to free and paid members. I hope to work on this story again soon.

I opened up chapters 46, 47, 48, and 49 for Root.

I opened up chapters 50, 51, 52, and 53 for Harvester.

I added chapters 54, 55, 56, and 57 for Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, Divine, and Axiom.

Enjoy!

Thank you once again for supporting this series. I’m so thankful you are here.

Take care,

AFK

If we're doing it. No point in waiting. I recommend you drop batches as you are comfortable.

Aye, aye Cap'n! 😂

Joe

👍

Joe

Yes, we are with you, Commodore! 🤣🤣

Joe

Well said.

Joe

Very true. I think you have actually seen us demonstrate this.

Joe

I would jump at that chance. But I suspect this entire group is already kinda there.

Joe

Yeah, those "life are goings" are a must. Thanks for sharing.

Joe

Hear, hear!!!

Joe

This is actually a very good idea. It makes it into a perk of being a patron, and sets the expectations appropriately.

Joe

I think we've had a similar situation to this in one of the other books. If I remember correctly, things went OK. Well, I'm speaking from the reader's end. I know how insanely pressured you are to reach your goals and I can't speak for how stressed you were during that time. What I'm trying to say is that you've been here before, and you did excellently then. I suspect if you do exactly the same thing you did last time (or as close to it as you can) you will do excellently again. As for us, I think those of us who have been with you this far aren't going anywhere. Thanks again for writing this series.

Joe

Make it so.

Mark Roudabush

I doubt it would be no content for a month, just no Divine Apostasy content. Even if there is no new content I've been waiting 2ish years of a book to be released

William WIlson

Seems more than reasonable to me, thanks AFK !

King Nereus

That is so true. I'm a book wyrm at heart, must have all the words.

Update the tiers description to note that all chapters are published to all tiers 30 days prior to a public release to facilitate patron review comments and final revisions. There will be an absence of new chapters released during this period. Chapter releases will resume the week following a public release.

I second the deluge of support--just put up a warning for new subscribers so they dont sub and are met with a suprise void portal to the face, so to speak. Everyone here is a binge-read addict. We all got hooked on Divine Apostasy and couldn't bear to stop the binge so we subbed just to turn another page. So have at it.

I already have been waiting months for some authors to post. I am fine with doing that for another. Though if you kept with the weekly "this is how my life is going" then you can keep your weekly posts.

Bob of Doom

A month with no new chapters is no problem. Also have you considered beta readers? I'm sure a lot of us, including myself, would more than happy to give you feedback in that way.

Shawn

Just give us the chapters now :) let us give feedback in time for it to matter. We can handle a gap in releases

I for one enjoy reading a lot. So, bring it on. I will give you my honest /simple opinion. I Love this story and only want it to be as successful as it is in my brain.

Lena M. Lucente

For the sake of the book i say a month without anything is justified. What the true fans are here for, getting everything earlier for, is to help the book be as polished as possible. If that means the tier system breaking down near release dates and there being floods and droughts then so be it. Do not let frivolous things like time and rank impact the quality of the final product Comrades! Are you with me? I say bring it on! Ready your Scrubbing hands! Lets clean this thing up! 9 days!

Spencer Wade

I would love to give you feedback at the end with all the chapters. I'm okay with nothing for a month.
