I’m starting my final revision for book 10 now. Please leave a comment, or message me, or ping me on discord, if you find any problems. Meeting this narration deadline was difficult. I’m so happy its almost behind me.
Oh, and when you come across a scene where action is referenced but now shown (there are a couple…one with Ruwen and a god, and one with Ruwen and Bliz) these are opportunities I left myself for short stories and anthologies or just Patron only extras.
I’m also very interested in what people thought of book 10 as a whole and the ending.
I opened up book 10 chapters Group 2 for Root
I opened up BPL chapter 3 and 4 for Root.
I opened up BPL chapters 5, 6, and 7 for Harvester.
I opened up book 10 chapters Group 3 for Harvester
I added BPL chapters 8, 9, and 10 for Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, Divine, and Axiom.

2024-07-02 01:19:07 +0000 UTCShattered Steps are the Steps that Lalquinrial is versed in. There are of the God-Killer variety, specialized in destroying meridians like the Shadow Steps. We don't know much about the Shattered Clan beyond Lalquinrial being part of it. This is mentioned, I think, in Ruwens first meeting with the Infernal God. I am still amazed that I remember this bit of fact considering that this is someone else's lore rather than my own.

Here are a few comments/typos: 1) Chapter 63: there are two places where you use the formal (capitalized) term “Shattered Step(s)”… I assume you’re referring to Shadow Steps since they can be used to shatter meridians but I think this is the first time that you actually called them “Shattered Steps” and I wasn’t sure if that was intentional or a typo, as you used this term twice in this chapter. 2) Chapter 65- “What if I let the destruction in early?” Ruwen said. “Or put some inside me and tried to control…” Small typo here: The word “tried” should be “try”
