So, after reading this, I have a theory. We know Keelee is a hybrid. And with the way Ky dyes his feathers, we can guess he may be a hybrid too. What if their dad (who was never around according to Ky in episode 132) and Reamer's dad is one and the same? That might explain why off all the avians to kidnap and/or manipulate, she choose Ky and his sister.
