Lord's Tutorial Chapter 14

From the Church of Pilgrimage I headed straight south along the hill as I also worked to create as many fire pots as possible.

I rode Torrent quickly up to the still massive but 'smaller' lesser Erd Tree and and I hummed in thought as I saw the Erd Tree Avatar sitting on the ground with its large mace in hand as it prayed.

'That big bastard is very much wood and supposedly has a weakness to fire... This could work.' I thought with amusement as I took in the large pots that were mostly shattered or emptied of the pot warriors that had come to challenge the Erd Tree Avatar.

So, using the large amounts of materials I had stocked up from my running around. I filled up one of the giant pots that was equal to the size of Alexander the true pot bro, following the same recipe used in making fire pots... Just this fire pot was going to be a bit 'bigger'.

"Gooo the hell away damn it!" I muttered with some annoyance as one of the wooden half-men came towards me with it's spear flaring with a hint of golden holy power.

But it turns out when a 'human' is turned half into wood with branches growing out of it's body. The body couldn't move nearly as well. So I easily dodge the spear before pulling the thing closer to me by grabbing the spear and I smashed its skull with a hammer.

Then, with that out of the way, I paused as I picked up the spear that hummed with a bit of holy energy I could ignite at the cost of my own mana. "Well, this could be useful when I need to deal with some undead enemies... Into the pile it goes!"

I refocused on the Erd Tree Avatar, a good hundred meters away from me and then I took out a crossbow before igniting the bolt's oil-covered tip before sending the fiery bolt into the Erd Tree Avatar, whose large wooden body groaned as it got up and hefted it's massive hammer staff.

"Time to move then." I muttered with a grin as I positioned myself to have the large pot I filled fire pot shit in the way of the monster and it lumbered over at me quickly so I readied myself with another smaller fire pot.

And just before it reached the big pot, I pitched that smaller fire pot in my hand at the bigger pot, and the moment that pot left my hand. I threw myself to the ground just behind another empty pot as a massive explosion slammed into the pot, pushing it into me as well.

"Thou art a resourceful one... But such tactics won't work so easily on the Demi-Gods." Melina's voice rang out in my ear as gleaming runes streamed into my body from the burnt corpse of the Erd Tree Avatar.

I shrugged and, with a wry smile, I said quietly. "One must use the tools one has at one's disposal. Why would I get up close to such a monster when I can comfortably blow it up from a distance?"

I went and then grabbed the ingredients for the Flask of Wondrous Physick in the Crimson Burst and Opaline Bubbletear before I got back on Torrent and with a moment of thought continued north west to get down the elevated position I was on to head towards the wetlands.

'Wait... If I like bring a fuck load of rope and a hook or something. Coudn't I just use this portal here at that tower to just teleport and climb down into Leyndell City? I could just cheese my way into the capital, couldn't I?!'

But I very... Very quickly chased the idea away as I was well aware that the Capital was somewhere I could only go when I myself was already an army killer. As the capital besides where the massive dragon Gransax had smashed into, was very well defended, and society itself hadn't fallen there nearly as much.

As I rode into the swampy area, I then focused on the Evergoal, containing what I knew was the Ancient Hero of Zamor. "Fuck it... We ball." I muttered as I pulled Torrent towards the dimensional pocket jail that contained a strong ice-wielding warrior.

"You be good Torrent. Be careful." I muttered to the horse that huffed and looked at me as though as saying. 'No you are the idiot rushing into danger here.' As though it knew that this boss was a completely optional boss.

Still, I really wanted the Radagon Scarseal that this boss had on it, as it would give me like twelve levels in stats in return for taking ten percent more damage? I had no idea how the damage shit would work here with how I didn't have a health bar.

But I was getting very much allergic to getting hit and was living the 'No-Hit' run life, so if I just... Didn't get hit, then it was just free stats obviously!

I opened up the Evergoal and I was pulled into the jail/pocket dimension with a flash of cold air hitting me as the Ancient Hero of Zamor sat up regally with it's large curved sword twirling in its hand.

"Yo! You alive in there, or were you driven mad by sitting here in the jail?" I asked quickly as I shamelessly rang the Spirit Calling Bell, and I staggered feeling my mana drain out completely as the Legendary summon Lhutel came to life.

The nameless Ancient Hero of Zamor only shrugged and said with a voice that was a whisper that rang out coldly. "I have forgotten my name after Marika's forces imprisoned me here for countless winters. I will make this quick on you at the least."

Knowing all to well that it meant that it would kill me so that it could go free I shrugged with a bit of melancholy entering me before Lhutel who was a headless ghost, teleported forward and slammed it's lance into the curved sword the Ancient Hero of Zamor raised up.

"Lhutel! You were there as well! I will help kill you again then haha!" It snarled and roared before throwing back Lhutel, whose ghostly armor made some noise as she stood back up promptly.

Meanwhile, I chugged down my mana flask like it was a sippy cup that owed me money and I took back out my staff before sending out a large basketball sized star of Glintstone that smashed into the Ancient Hero of Zamor who screeched as Lhutel did her ghostly bullshit teleport and slammed her lance that was now enhanced with the rot of Death into it's chest.

'I forgot that Lhutel, despite being a legendary warrior, gave up her life to help protect Godwyn in the afterlife, and thus had access to the power of Those who live in Death.' I thought with a slight frown as conceptual death applying magic that wasn't limited by game balance was going to be a scary fucking thing.

As I saw as the Ancient Hero of Zamor stagger and held its chest which was barely even scratched by Lhutel's lance turn ash grey, and as the warrior moved to block a stream of glinstone bullets I sent at it. Its chest began breaking down into ashes as the curse of death infected it.

"You cowardly sorcerer! You dare to fight me in an honorable duel?" The Ancient Hero of Zamor demanded with a howl that was akin to a freezing wind screaming through a frozen valley.

As I was... Well out of the way of the streams of ice magic it was sending at me. And Lhutel? She was a headless fucking ghost. She didn't give two shit's about the cold besides the magical aspect that seemingly slowed her down.

"Nah, I will take your sword back to your people and the Mountain Tops of the Giants, though if you just lie down and die for me real quick?" I said with zero fucking shame.

And within a couple of minutes, we wore the Ancient Hero of Zamor down with shameless teleporting bullshit and magic spam.

It was glorious, and as I felt the runes fill my soul, I saw Lhutel even salute me by punching her shield in congratulations before she faded away back into the Spirit Calling Bell.
