Kitsune in Teyvat Chapter 26
Added 2024-11-05 10:36:31 +0000 UTCFischl's family home was a nice place... It was the complete family home honestly. Two stories in the Mondstadt style, with a small raised porch to establish their property as fences weren't really much of a thing in the middle of Mondstadt.
And as I came into Fischl's family home, I was swiftly greeted by her family. "Hello young man, are you friends with Amy?" Fischl's mom asked and she was clearly who Fischl took after appearance-wise in having long blond hair and green eyes.
"Hello, my name is Kurama. And I am also an adventurer and a friend of your daughter." I spoke with some amusement at seeing Fischl squirm at her mother using her real name.
"I see... Well if you don't mind me asking, are you Kätzlein like like Diona and the few over in Springvale? Oh and where are my manners my name is Amelia, I am afraid my husband is out working now though so he isn't here." She spoke in a bit of a rush.
I tilted my head to the side as Fischl froze and I realized she hadn't told her mother about me either so I asked curiously as I was covered in a rather dense illusion to hide my kitsune features. "How could you tell I wasn't human? I am wearing a potent illusion?"
The mother blinked before she smiled wryly and said. "Ah... Uhm your eyes are a bit too bright, and I used to be an adventurer before taking a Hillichurl explosive arrow to the knee, so I caught how behind you there is a bit of draft of movement pushing aside the leaves over there."
Seeing as we were already inside I just shrugged and dropped my illusion making the woman's eyes widen before she looked at her daughter with a knowing smile as I spoke in amusement that was tinged with a bit of heat.
"Wow... A human is seeing through my illusions, I need to step up my game. But no, I am a kitsune from Inazuma not a Kätzlein." I spoke with my whitetails fluffily waving through the air as I stretched slightly.
"Kurama has been a good friend to Fischl my lady, but we were hoping to have lunch here so we could continue our plans for the mission we picked up for tomorrow." Oz spoke from Fischl's shoulder.
And Amelia, Fischl/Amy's mother gave a soft hum before saying. "Oh alright, that's fine. Go on ahead and begin talking. I will make you both some soup and sandwiches if that will serve?"
I gave a small smile and nodded. "I would appreciate that, thank you."
And I watched as Amelia got up from the seat with her taking a cane to go walk into the kitchen while we remained in the sitting room.
"You know... I could fix her leg actually." I mused more to myself as I watched the mother walk into the kitchen.
I heard Fischl cough on the tea she was drinking which made me look back at her as she swiftly wiped her mouth with a napkin to not look anything but without her princess-like poise.
"Pray tell how would you heal this Prinzessin's noble Kaiseryn?" She asked with a hint of steel in her tone.
I gave a wry smile before I took a breath and spoke. "I am a kitsune Fischl, my magic is not the power of Elements that humanity has to rely on through Vision's I have power over time itself."
On the table in front of us was a vase filled with some kinda wilting flowers that Amelia had obviously bought to fill the sitting room with a fresh scent. So with my free hand that wasn't being held by Fischl a grey glow covered my hand and then grabbed one of the dying flowers.
"By turning back the clock, turning back time. I can simply... Remove the wound from ever occurring." I spoke slowly as the flower bloomed back into vibrant life and then I held the flower to Fischl who flushed as she took the flower with the hand that was previously holding my arm.
"Uhm... What risks are there in doing this?" She asked softly.
To which I shrugged honestly and said. "On a human being? She will likely just look slightly different a bit due to having her body de-aged. Her mind will remain largely untouched so her memories will not be affected which is the most important issue."
She raised an eyebrow at me before she asked curiously. "Have you done something on this scale before Kurama?"
And hearing that... My face twisted before I sighed and said softer. "Yeah, when I was one of the few kitsune in Inazuma back before... A lot of thing's happened, I used to help some of the older ladies in the villages heal from issues and even helped a couple of men completely regrow lost limbs that were lost fighting monsters in Inazuma."
I was actually born so... So many years ago just before the true fall of Khaenri'ah, and I had seen Makoto and Ei together with the kitsune and priestess of the Narukami Shrine before the kitsune started dying off in droves during the dark days of the abyss attacking everywhere.
But I pulled a traveler and had spent literal centuries sleeping while sealed away.
Actually... On that same topic, I couldn't but wonder how my adoptive mother was doing and her preparations for us to leave this false world were going?
