Rental Isekai Chapter 21

After the dragon turtle broke apart into motes of light leaving behind its enhanced runic shell that we could sell off for a very pretty chunk of change. All that was left was going into the small cave that was obviously hosting the dungeon's treasure chest.

"After all this today, getting to rest in a nice inn would be nice... Oooh Jake could we go to an inn with hot tubs in the VIP rooms?" Rose asked excitedly.

After a moment of thought after going through the rewards these pretty well-paying missions would pay out... Especially once we report the necromancer who was working for the Orc Necromancer Queen. We were looking at a very sizable payday so I nodded and said. "Alright, I could use a bit of relaxation honestly." 

I looked over at Drakia who likewise gave a quick smile and said easily. "What? I am dragon-blooded, a nice soak in a hot tub is always welcome for my kind haha." 

With that future bit of relaxation to unwind from the drama of traveling to Lundhaven and all the stuff we had already done set in stone, we went into the small cave room that the Dragon Turtle was previously guarding the entrance too. 

Once we got there, we saw the dungeon chest which was the dungeon's way of rewarding people for clearing the dungeon and getting us adventurers to come back and allow the dungeon to try its best to kill us again... It was also a bribe for us adventurers to not kill the dungeon by destroying its core.

The chest was a large trunk with sea stones and coral embossed onto the crate and I was musing about what could be in there? Maybe an enchanted Trident? maybe just precious metals and gems?

So with building anticipation, I came up to the chest and without a moment of hesitation, I threw open the chest with a quiet creaking noise ringing out as the hinges on the trunk were forced open.

"Uhhh, is she a mermaid?" Rose asked in confusion as I stilled at the sight of a busty blond who was fucking sleeping inside my goddam treasure chest.

The chest was rather large so it still fit her and I could see on the sides of the girl was a pile of gems and coins. But also tucked in beside her just beside her form was what looked like a Punt Gun and a Viking-style seax sword.

"Rose... Please try to heal her? See if you can wake her up, Drakia help me move her out of the chest." I spoke as I could see the girl was still breathing and wasn't even dirty? So it wasn't like she was sealed away for god knows how long.

So while Rose began her prayer to purge the magical sleep the girl was under, Drakia and I picked up the blond... With huge tits and moved her out of the chest and into a sitting position with her back to Drakia's knees so she was being held upright.

While Drakia was holding the girl steady. I obviously went ahead and secured all the loot! As I couldn't just leave all those shinies in the chest all alone now could I? Though I couldn't use my scanning skill on the Punt Gun as it was seemingly claimed by the girl, the seax sword did show some promise and could be my new sidearm.

Although I didn't have a wind spell with how I was a lightning-based dragon-kin it was still a good enchanted sword with a shorter reach than Siren my Greatsword.

But my ruminations were cut off with a gurgling noise as Rose finished her prayer and the girl's eyes opened hurriedly with her sitting up with a sharp inhale of breath as she held an arm to her huge chest.

Drakia, Rose, and I watched her for a long moment as she took a deep breath and I slowly asked. "Hello miss. Are you alright we found you in the dungeon chest of all things."

The woman visibly blinked as she took in her surroundings... Looked to me and then took back in her surroundings.

She slowly asked. "Jake the hero is that you?" 

My face twitched at being recognized and... Well that cinched it for her being some kind of monster who was sealed away for countless years if she recognized me after I had only been within the world for a few days.

I slowly nodded and said with a wry smile. "That is indeed me? Are you some kind of adventurer with the gun you have?" I asked curiously as I took in the large Punt Gun of which the woman raised a hand and the gun flickered before teleporting into her hands which she then placed it onto the ground as she nodded happily.

"Indeed! I am a scouting sniper specialist who focuses on killing monster bosses from a far distance... And everything around them as my gun is enchanted so I can run my favorite exploding fireball spell through it and makes all three hundred pellets in the shotgun round explode when they collide down range!" She happily explained before freezing and looking back to me.

She squirmed slightly and then she raised her hands and put them to her cheeks as she whispered. "Well... Are you going to do it?"

I blinked and said with confusion. "Huh?" 

She flushed deeper with her squirming intensifying as she looked between me and Rose the nun. " I mean this is a wonderful dream and all, but in the scriptures, the hero is always supposed to take the noble lady after he rescues her and then they get married after she is filled with his child!"

My brain froze over as I once again gave the most enlightened reply possible in replying. "Huh?" 

Drakia even from where she was behind me, I could hear her hand meeting her fucking face as she face-palmed and muttering. "Oh dear... Not another one." Which made Rose squeak and look at her friend in outrage at how she was painted by the same brush.

But I caught onto the first bit as I smiled wryly and said. "I am sorry lady... But this isn't a dream, go ahead and pinch yourself this is unfortunately reality." 

I watched as the woman went and pinched her other wrist a hand... And then pinched the other wrist.

She stilled and then looked up at me with that deep flush returning as instead of horny embarrassment at thinking this was a dream she could direct into some naughty fun... She had just been told that this was reality and now to say the least she was utterly mortified!

I coughed and said. "Well, as you already know. My name is Jake Barris, the summoned hero. This is Rose a nun of the Light Goddess, and this is Drakia my slave I got from the church. Sooo who are you?" I asked trying to move things along as the woman stood up with somewhat shaky legs with her putting the gun behind her shoulder.

She almost looked like she didn't even want to speak with how mortified she was... But she visibly took a deep breath and said. "My name is Irabel Clouds, I am the daughter of New Atha's Chief of Coin and I am formally asking you to take me back to New Atha."

My lips twitched at the thought of rushing back to New Atha after just getting to Lundhaven... But getting mouthy with the noble daughter of the guy whose whole job was crushing noble families who didn't pay 'enough' taxes didn't sound like a bright idea.

So I said evenly. "We will escort you back to Lundhaven as its just a couple hours away from this dungeon. New Atha is days away after all." 

The girl shuddered and then shook her head hurriedly. "No, no, no! Sir hero!" She almost seemed to beg. "Lady Iyana was the one who threw me into this dungeon I am sure of it! If you send me into Lundhaven she could even have me killed!" 

'Just as I thought... Fucking troublesome.' I thought and in that same vein Drakia asked out of curiosity. "Wait why does Queen Iyana want you dead?" 

To which Irabel shifted and looked slightly embarrassed as she looked down and said. "Well... I got a bit too excited when hearing you were coming to Lundhaven so I followed you via a teleportation circle from the capital but I beat you here and I may have made Lady Iyana angry when I kept asking her where you were... Just a little mad I think."
