Peep Show S8 Ep6 "Quantocking II" REACTION!

The shit has hit the fan!

Peep Show S8 Ep6 "Quantocking II" REACTION!

Comments

It's astroturf, because that pitch is used mainly for hockey. You can see the hockey goal that has been moved out of the way on the left.

Steve Moppett

Any one notice The ticket lady, was one of David Brent blind dates from office christmas special

mav

the thing is they are right , you can not be addicted to cannabis what so ever , you can however become dependent on it and while it might be the same in a way the word addiction refers to having negative physical affects when not taking said drug , weed has none , all other drugs do like nicotine , heroin , coke all can be addicted to where as weed cant do that , if you stop you will only ever have metal effects none physical , tldr its the same thing really tho :P

TheHigh

Astroturfs are used at leisure centres in the UK because of the constant use it makes more sense than grass else eventually it would just be a mud pit unless you constantly relay turf.

Stephen Prothero

Marijuana is a plant labelled as a drug 🤣

Stephen Prothero

The astroturf is a hockey pitch they are using to play football on

Chris

On one of the few outtake videos I could find for 'Peep Show's, I remember that scene in the fields with the electric fence and both David Mitchell and Robert Webb getting the giggles as they chucked each other against the fence.😂😂

Rich

😂👍

Jason Scade

Answer to the Astro-Turf question. It rains all the time...That is just green mud.

Daniel Heywood

Season 9 is much better than season 8, though I love it all. Looking forward to Season 9!

Helen Francis

Is it astroturf though? I thought that was the plastic stuff that's like sharp grass, whereas this looks more like the felt carpet stuff.

Z is for Zed

And Max & Paddy, too.

Once Peep Show's officially over you should give Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights a try! I think you'll love it, it's very much the same style of British cringe comedy and is only 2 seasons with around 6 episodes for each. Been a while since I watched it on the internet but I'm sure I found the entire 2 seasons on Daily Motion back when I watched though it again. Phoenix Nights or not I hope everybody enjoys their holidays, been loving your reactions!

dingus

Nah they're both comedies and are marketed as such. Misfits is a black comedy / sci fi show where most of its jokes are 'offensive' and fresh meat is a sitcom... Brassic or White gold would be my first choices anyway but each to their own...

ryung246

Don’t be sad when it’s over. The best part of watching peep show is rewatching it😂

Sam Holbrook

Thanks for the Peep show ride King it’s been awesome, I think I was the person you were referring too about the Jez and Dobbie comment - got far too excited when you spoke about it haha. Have a wonderful Xmas mate xxx New series suggestion: BRASSIC

Jamie Keira

Haha I wish I doubt it but I wish

Jamie Keira

Astro turf with green grass around it, yeh pretty much in the uk mate haha

Jamie Keira

It could NEVER work out between Mark and Dobby, or between Mark and anyone. Otherwise it wouldn't be Peep Show. These guys always have to find a way to fuck things up.

Oliver

It's probably just AstroTurf so the council don't have to maintain it. I mean, cutting, repainting, that costs thousands! Millions!! Billions!!! The council can't have that, can they?

Joe Thornhill

I'd like to see him react to Gavin & Stacey and Misfits too but I feel like they weren't THAT funny. At least, not so much offensive comedy, which is what KB seems to prefer. Though I haven't seen fresh meat, I feel like that was more of a drama too. Real Uni life with the hardships and whirlwind of relationships/breakups.

Joe Thornhill

Would love to see any of the below shows once you've finished peep show & man down! Brassic ('Snatch' meets 'The Inbetweeners' with Grumio from plebs) You, me and the Apocalypse (Only 10 episodes with Alan Johnson & Dobby's ex Simon from peep show, and Stylax from plebs) Phoenix nights / Max & Paddy's road to nowhere (UK cult classics) Peter Kays car share (Only 10 episodes) Fresh Meat (Simon from The Inbetweeners - UK University life) White Gold (Simon & Jay from The Inbetweeners as salesmen in 80's UK) Cuckoo (Gilbert from The Inbetweeners / Dan from Man down) The Office (UK) Extras (Ricky as a struggling actor with Steve as his agent) Misfits ('The boys' meets 'The Inbetweeners')

ryung246

I couldn't agree more, it's way better fun! However kids these days think different 😂

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

So what. It isn’t ballet. Get your ass in the mud and get that win!

Brian Moran

Astro turf next to grass super common in UK. Need a pitch you can train on during the winter? Better than getting stuck in the mud all day.

Patrick Tucker

I've really enjoyed watching you review all of the peep show episodes. It may not be as laugh out loud funny as some series, but it is superbly written and it's good to see the characters develop over the years. I hope you and Queen B have an amazing family Christmas - and look forward to seeing your reviews next year. Matt, Ireland.

It’ll be bitter sweet, but I can’t wait for your reaction to the last series. There’s old episode I’m particular which I am looking forward to, but il keep my mouth shut so as to not ruin anything haha

Michael May

For me the weakest season by far is the first, and then it stays consistently good from Seasons 2 to 9 (give or take a couple of weak episodes).

Jay

Sex duckling 😂classic.Mark need to learn to make a decent cuppa . As a mother who’s child’s team play on Astro I am very grateful for Astro. When they play away on grass I have to get a lot of stains out of his white kit 😂

Erica

He needs to watch the one where they are stuck on the ferris wheel

Erica

King may respond to you himself, but last I heard from him it was along the lines of "I will at some point in the future, but watching it all at once felt a bit much as it was kind of samey" - So I think he just wanted a break for a while so it feels fresher again perhaps.

LyingSecret

i predict in a year or two we are going to hear king boomer slip out some british accent by accident when hes talking lol. great reaction always. Looking forward to the next red dwarf and only fools <3

Jordan Lewis French

Definitely the best series you’re watching 🔥

Conor Brereton

You know why there's AstroTurf surrounded by grass? Cause it rains all the time and the grass is muddy wet slippy and cold

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

Phoenix Nights and Max & Paddy ( Spin off ) in 2024 would be awesome.

Pee-Wee Stairmaster

Yeah it’s Astro turf

Everton FC 🔷◽️🔷

I agree that S6-9 are also just as good. Just the odd episode like this one some of the dialogue is so out there that i can see why some fans have issues with it but still is hilarious

Joe

Will the 3rd series of Bottom be done at any point?

Wilss

'Rock me Amadeus' I'm here for that, alone.

Colin R

I remember it not being as good when it got to the later seasons. But rewatching it with you seems to have changed my mind unless 9 is the one that i remember not being as good as previous but everyone seems to be excited for it? So maybe I was wrong?

Matt

S9 E5 Is a great Episode! Mitchell and Webb are not closing the door on Peep Show yet. last season was in 2015 not long ago, so we may be seeing one fairly soon.

Industrialist2015ofUk

I think one notable thing about the later seasons is that there's less of characters like Sophie, Alan and Suze. In series 6 and 7, characters like Elena, Zara and Ben the shit did a good job filling the void, but series 8 was a bit lacking in new characters. You'd best be prepared for the characters we meet in series 9 though...

Will Dennis

Looking forward to season 9 which was one of my favourites. Released end of 2015. 3 years after season 8.

John Prescott

Karl Hyde from Underworld always reminds me of Super Hans, they look so alike, I've seen them live and it made me chuckle, they could be twins!

Mark Jones

My wife and I do that with Peep Show and The (US) Office until Michael leaves haha. Been cycling for years. Probably watched each 20+ times through.

Stephen Smith

I'm with you, I never get the season rating, I love them all at the end of the day, this is a proper beloved cult classic.

Mark Jones

There’s a musician who was very slightly famous in the nineties, Steve Ludwin, who is probably more known now for keeping a lot of snakes, and injecting himself with snake venom so he’s immune to their bites. Apparently at one time his flat was a bit like Super Hans’ spare room. I wonder sometimes if he was perhaps the inspiration for that side of Hans’ character. The station where they board the train, Marylebone station, is the same one where Mark meets Sophie when she comes back from Bristol in S3. Despite this, trains from it actually don’t serve the southwest at all.

Charlie

Super Hans' delivery kills me haha

squarewindow

Season 8 is the weakest, it finishes strong with season 9.

Jon

Season 9 is gold

JS_OTL

You're spot on. Season eight is a bit of a drop off, and the worst season, but still very good. And you're in for a treat with season nine, it's consistently excellent .

SJB

we usually use astroturf for 5 a side with the small goals

theOraclelives

It is astro turf. So Sports centres do 5 a side football which tends to be a smaller pitch. Because the pitch gets hired out all through out the day it gets very heavy use so a normal grass pitch would quickly become a mud bath. You can also buy special astro turf football boots. Normal football boots have the big studs in the bottom which can cause some damage if someone steps on you with them.

Tim Phillipson

once you finish peep show just start it again haha

theOraclelives

Next stop the final season 🥲
