Peep Show S6 Ep6 "Das Boot" (Un-Cut) REACTION!

Comments

FYI the bump is Oliva Colemans real bump she was knocked up in inRL

mav

Go out and get some fresh air, you clown

DFA

Bit old to be fucking you ain't they? how's about change your picture before you offer anyone any advice.

Caine

fuck me, pausing within 5 seconds to have a chat ffs do a podcast

Paul Hughes

Great reaction. Relatively new to your Patreon and absolutely loving your content so far. Also a big congrats on the nipper.

SC

Lol I liked this even though I drive an automatic. Qualified on a manual though like most everyone else in the UK. That also means I have more practical options for a courtesy car if mine goes for repairs! (Although admittedly the last time that happened, I kept stalling the courtesy car because I wasn’t used to the clutch any more)

Eleanor Elliott

It’s all manual in UK I had to learn automatic when I moved to Oz but there wasn’t much to learn lol

Jamie Keira

Adam it’s not that they don’t, it’s that they can’t is what I meant. But pathetic was prolly the wrong word.

Super Mega Giga Chad

Oh, and for the record, I watch this for the pausing and the talking. (You rewind it anyway) otherwise I'd just watch it without you...

Daniel Heywood

''Haha! I did that!'' HIGH FIVE! (Borat voice)

Daniel Heywood

It just makes more sense to learn manual in the UK, simply due to the roads. It's different in the US of course, where your roads are massive, and relatively homogenous. The diversity of the types of situations when driving in the UK means that learning manual is a much more useful skill in the long run. If all you did was pootle around in a city all the time, then yes you could just get away with auto, but you're severely limiting your options in some ways. Having said that, autos have come a long way over the decades, so who knows. Plus there's the stupid alpha male bullshit surrounding "real men only drive manual" - some people can't for various reasons, It doesn't make them less of a man, it means they can have some kind of freedom if they can drive an auto. Unless you want people with some sort of disability to never drive. In which case you're a massive wanker.

Phil Robinson

Oh yea he is getting metoo’d pretty hard. Role was originally written for Danny Dyer, glad he didn’t get it either.

Super Mega Giga Chad

I drove an automatic when I lived in the US, and apart from sometimes finding the break pretty sensitive, found it a lot easier. That being said, American roads tend to be straighter and wider than some of the windy little lanes in Europe, so the automatic cars are generally better suited. When I'm meandering through teeny tiny country lanes in England, I need those gears for control purposes haha. And as Carl and Tris say above, most people learn manual stick shift driving because it allows you to drive any car, whereas learning automatic is more restrictive.

Kit Taylor

I think manual is pretty much the norm across Europe, at least to my experience. Here in Sweden you can take a licence for automatic but then you won't be allowed to drive manual. So pretty much everyone takes the manual licence. I'm not sure if this applies in other countries as well.

Carl-August Wingårdh

Not the most interesting thing about Russell Brand currently - Good job he didn't get to be Super Hans having auditoned

Chorlton Outlaw

I've never driven an automatic, people have them but they're more expensive. You learn manual generally - why not?

Chorlton Outlaw

Most cars here are manual, and if you pass your test in an automatic, you can only drive automatics, but if you pass with a manual, you can drive manual and automatic. So most people learn manual.

UltiNega

Beer fest and Super troopers. Two of my favourite comedy films!

Tyler Temperley

A lot of people in the UK still learn to drive in manuals because you can then drive any car and are not restricted, but automatics do make it easier. I watched a youtube vid recently on why its taken so long for the UK to adopt automatics, but ive forgotten the reason . .

Dean Carter

There's absolutely no point driving in London, and hardly any advantage driving in most major cities, so I don't see why it's pathetic that they wouldn't drive. Also, re: Russell brand, oh yeah a lot of stuff is coming out!

AdamMcAdamface

Peep Show is turning 20 this month

George

Oh and to queen boomer, it's only confusing at first. It becomes second nature very quickly. You're not even aware you're changing gear a lot of the time, you just do it without thinking

Max medlow

Basically all manual cars here in the UK. Especially things like vans. It does make a nice change ifnyou happen to drive an automatic ever as you can be extremely lazy, but the downsides of an automatic are obvious once you've driven one for a few weeks and you do feel in more control in a manual. Pulling out in fast traffic is much safer in a manual and autos seem to get confused on some hills. I also found my old auto to be dangerous on a snowy hill once when I couldn't engine brake and the wheels locked up

Max medlow

salve mr and mrs boomio. about 95 percent of european cars are manual.

Kasper Bruun Kristensen

yep wishing good times bill kenwright is removed at last 😂

Everton FC 🔷◽️🔷

Manual all the way, auto are for wankers.

James

David Mitchell can’t drive in real life. Ricky Gervais or Russell brand don’t either. Kinda pathetic in a way.

Super Mega Giga Chad

Anything to distract myself from the seemingly never ending torment that is being an Evertonian!! As for the new ownership, fuck me.......think I'm racked with even more anxiety and worry than i already was!!! Anyway UTFT.......I mean can't get much lower la ffs!! Haha. An king boomer just FYI "Kopites are gobshite!!"

Matthew Duffy

you guys make me so happy that when i saw this peep show ep dropped, i literally jumped out of my chair and started prancing around the room on my invisible horse shouting "its muppet time its muppet time"

Isaac Steele

you thought s6 was good wow s7 is gonna get ya

Isaac Steele

Im ngl the next episode may be best to watch after the baby it is quite graphic in descriptions

Matthew

I agree. It's the pausing and talking about the context of what's happening that make the reaction way more than just a reaction 👍

Dale M

Season 7 carries in almost straight after this episode so you're in for a treat haha. Great reaction both of you.

Dale M

yeah almost everyone learns in a manual and then picks what they want later.

Nathan

I suppose the question has been answered but im a muppet so i'll answer it again. Manual cars are by far the majority of the vehicles in the UK, Go-Carts are for losers

Pete Owen

I'll never understand why we still use manual cars after the invention of the automatic gearbox. It's never made sense to me.

Neal Murdoch

No it's about 70% are manuals on uk roads and less than a third of new cars can be ordered with manual gears now

John Prescott

Why are you posting spoilers why not just let them wait for themselves

Aaron

Just when you think Friday can’t get any better in the uk, a peep show reaction. 🤝👍

Everton FC 🔷◽️🔷

There're a lot more automatics than there used to be, I'll stick with the manuals though 😆

JustJack

I switched to automatic years ago after driving manual originally I’m never going back it makes sitting in traffic much more tolerable

Adam Lovatt

95% of our cars are Manual lol

Mike F

I like your pauses, it's why I watch! I get to share one of my favourite shows with new people and I love hearing you guys talk about and get excited...just like I did

David Wright

Well that idea about the boot..... It's very very wrong.. 😂🚢 I'm 42 and I have only ever known 1 person who took their test in an automatic...

CONALL MCLAUGHLIN

We have waaaaaaaaaay more cars where you have to use the gear stick, automatics are pretty rare over here in my experience. I don't really know why that is, but I know there are a lot of people who like to accelerate fast, and you can do that much better with a manual

I-Love-My-Brick

Well I’m definitely a certified muppet so I easily qualify lol.

Brian Moran

Automatics are for muppets only. You have to be a certified muppet to own an automatic. Hence the driving instructor laughing when Mark asked.

Alan

Automatic cars are still pretty rare here, manuals are elite

Toby Cutler

Jeremy gets a dog in next episode. You'll love it!

James

Gotta love peepity peep

Mohamed Lahmar

Next episode is one of the greatest episodes IMO

Kevin Liversage

Season 7 starts in the maternity ward so the baby birth is shown

John Prescott

Don't apologise for pausing. If we wanted to watch without pausing we would just watch the show. There is a reason we watch your reactions :)

Luke

I still find them rare enough that when I get in someone's car who has an automatic I always find myself saying "Ooo an automatic"

Steve G

Driving manual is really engaging if you enjoy driving. But generally it's second nature before long to drive manual and not even think about it. The only time I really wish I had an automatic is on the M25 or the queue for the Blackwall where the pace is absolutely fucking tedious.

Steve Read

Great reaction. Thanks both!

JJ

Most cars are manual in Britain

Matt Wells

When I was learning to drive around 18 years ago, there were almost no automatic cars around in the UK. These days, though, they're everywhere and I much prefer it now I'm used to it. The benefit of doing your test in a manual is that you can then legally drive both manual and auto cars. However, if you do your test in an automatic, you can't legally drive manuals here.

Phil

Nearly all drivers in UK have learned and licensed to drive manual gearbox. A very very small percentage are automatic only

Iain Wallace

I think non-drivers are much more common in the UK. Around 27% don't hold a driving license, and according to the governments records, under a third of those aged 17-20 hold a driving licence, down from nearly half in the early 1990s. I think cost is a factor, it costs more to fill a tank up here, and public transport's pretty good, as long as you're not out in the sticks. I learned to drive when I was 17, but have never owned a car and get by 99% of the time without one.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Every season of Peepshow gets better and better but sadly the last season it gets a bit desperate with the story lines and its the only season that's worse than the last but still season 7 is great right from the get go.

Phoenix

Das Boot is German for 'The Boat' so unfortunately nothing to do with drinking out of boots, which does sound like fun (as long as it hasn't been worn)
