Yes. It's just my point of view of course, but losing my vision would be so terrifying. It would be more complicated and long to try living with it I think.

2024-08-02 16:11:33 +0000 UTCThe thing about this drama that i absolutely LOVE is that every episode teaches the audience on communication strategies we should adopt when talking to the hearing impaired. For example in ep4, Kohei's mother was talking to Kohei while the food blender is on, she stopped the blender before continue the conversation. Also in the same episode when Kohei bumped into his friend at the hospital, the friend removed his facemask and repeated what he said when Kohei was unable to hear well the first time.

2024-08-02 13:54:16 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, most of my patients with hearing loss does not find it as devastating as compared to losing vision. The older ones especially, tend to brush it off as they feel that its just natural for hearing to deteriorate with age. The younger ones will definitely be devastated.

2024-08-02 13:50:58 +0000 UTCAs an ENT, I must really applaud this drama for giving a good representation of people with hearing loss. Yes, there are certain inaccuracies, e.g. Kohei's hearing test results states that he is profoundly deaf in both ears which he shouldn't be able to hear much actually... But majority of the things shown were pretty accurate. The ringing sound which Kohei hears is usually associated with hearing loss, and adding it to show the deterioration of his hearing does makes sense.
