I enjoyed your reactions to this series. In my own theory, the vampire had to completely drain the pure blood in order to become human, which would kill him. However, the vampire loved him too much to do that, plus the vampire having lived for centuries, knew the world and everything. Whereas the pure blood was just starting life really as a university student. So in the eyes of a vampire, literally a baby. So in the end, the vampire wanted the pure blood to live his life. That’s my take on this series. Sad as it may be.
