NARUTO- CH-134. Scroll for Tsunade

Shiki let the two fish go for now and opened the door.

He couldn't help but raise his eyebrows.

It was Itachi, who hadn't been seen for a week.

"Because a lot of the information was encrypted, it took me a few more days." Itachi explained.

Shiki nodded.

Although Itachi possessed the powerful Mangekyō Sharingan, it didn't mean he could come and go freely in Konoha Village. Especially when it came to precious materials that required heavy protection. If it were anyone else, they would have been arrested long ago.

"What did you find out?" Shiki asked.

"A lot," Itachi replied, taking out a scroll with a heavy expression. "I want to see Tsunade-sama."

In his mind, he always treated Shiki as a messenger.

"Can I take a look first?" Shiki stood still, not moving out of the way.

Itachi was slightly startled, hesitated for a moment, and then handed the scroll over to him. From his perspective, Tsunade and Shiki had a close relationship. The most typical example being Tenzo. Tsunade had obviously known about Tenzo's existence in advance, and even knew he possessed Wood Release. Otherwise, Shiki wouldn't have reminded him.

The scroll was opened, revealing a lot of content. It recorded various forbidden Root experiments, most of which involved cruel human experiments. According to Konoha's rules, human experiments were prohibited, especially when many of the subjects were Konoha villagers and ninjas.

Shiki flipped to the end and found Hashirama's cell Wood Release experiment and Tenzo's information.

He thought for a moment and finally said, "Come in."

This scroll was enough to ignite Tsunade's anger. Even if she continued to be tough, she still had a bottom line. There was no doubt that it had been crossed now.

"What would you like to drink?" Shiki asked casually.

"Need not," Itachi replied, clearly not in the mood. "Where's Tsunade-sama?"

"She is resting in the room. I'll go and call her," Shiki paused and added, "Give me the scroll. She will definitely see you after reading it."

Itachi nodded.

"Teacher."

Shiki entered Tsunade's room with the scroll.

"What's up?" Tsunade lay on the bed, looking like a salted fish.

"Itachi's sincerity," Shiki handed over the scroll.

"Reel?" Tsunade opened the scroll in confusion, glanced at it, and was immediately stunned. She stood up suddenly, frowned, and began to read carefully.

With Shimura Danzo's personality, he could be said to be unscrupulous in his experiments. Even if the subjects were their own people, they were treated as expendable under the pretext of doing it for Konoha.

"What a Root! What a Danzo!" Tsunade was so angry she laughed. She read halfway through, closed the scroll, and clenched her fists, making a crackling sound. If Danzo had been standing in front of her, there was no doubt he would have been in trouble.

"Teacher, watch to the end," Shiki warned.

Orochimaru defected because he was discovered doing human experiments. But the experiments involving Wood Release were kept secret, which had not been made public. Tsunade only knew half of the story. Besides, by then, she had already given up on her love, so she hadn't questioned further.

Tsunade glanced at Shiki and opened the scroll again, out of trust in him.

When she saw the Wood Release and Tenzo's information, she felt like she had been struck by lightning.

In Konoha, Hashirama's cell experiments were conducted twice. The first time was by Sarutobi Hiruzen, who experimented on voluntary ninjas, but no one succeeded, and the experiment was stopped. The second time, it was secretly carried out by Orochimaru and Danzo, and Tenzo was the only success.

Tsunade knew about the first Wood Release experiment. She had strongly opposed it because it was an insult to her grandfather Hashirama Senju's corpse. However, after Sarutobi Hiruzen's logical and emotional persuasion, she reluctantly agreed. Konoha couldn't afford to lose Wood Release, just like a certain district couldn't afford to lose Tifa.

But, it turned out that the God of Ninja World couldn't be replaced by just anyone.

If this had been the first Wood Release experiment, Tsunade could still accept it. But the second time was outrageous. Not only were the experimental subjects not voluntary, but they also involved infants.

"Teacher," Shiki quickly grabbed her wrist and said, "Calm down."

"Calm down? How do you want me to calm down?!" Tsunade asked through gritted teeth.

"Is this your home, or your bed?" Shiki said seriously, "It's broken, so we have to buy a new one."

"…" Tsunade was speechless.

She was so angry she could punch Danzo's dog head to pieces. Yet, he was telling her to worry about the bed?

But after being interrupted by Shiki, Tsunade regained her composure. Things had already happened. There was no point in getting angry. What mattered was how to remedy the situation.

Tsunade would never allow Konoha Village, founded by her grandfather, to become this way. Moreover, using Wood Release ninjas in Anbu was a waste of resources.

"What does Itachi want?" Tsunade closed the scroll.

"Peace between the Uchiha clan and Konoha," Shiki said as he released her hand.

"He's similar to Shisui," Tsunade said unhappily. "I don't know what the old man is doing."

He did nothing.

Shiki suddenly thought of Fugaku. These two were cut from the same cloth. They just kept dragging things out until it inevitably turned into a night of genocide.

"Let's go."

Tsunade got out of bed and walked into the living room.

"Tsunade-sama," Itachi greeted in a deep voice.

"Thanks for your hard work," Tsunade nodded and said, "If you hadn't investigated the Root, I wouldn't have known what they had done."

Itachi was stunned, 'What did she mean? She didn't know?'

Itachi subconsciously looked at Shiki. It was only then that he realized the problem.

"Tsunade-sama," Itachi explained the previous method of Shiki. He took the blame, admitting he investigated the Root because Danzo had attacked Shisui and he wanted revenge. He handed over the scroll because he wanted to cooperate with her and preserve Konoha's strength.

Tsunade was shocked into silence by this method. Bold and ruthless. It was like killing two birds with one stone. She felt ashamed for not having such courage.

But how had it come to this?

Tsunade scratched her head, unable to think of a better solution. The hawkish faction of the Uchiha clan could be suppressed by force, but as long as they remained in Konoha, they would always be a source of unrest.

Unless... you kill them.

If that were the case, it still wasn't as good as Itachi's method.
