"Is there anything special about him to you?" Daisy asked curiously.

Michael smiled and shook his head, saying, "No, at least... not yet!"

"Now?"

Daisy was a little confused, but Michael had already pulled her away.

The two walked to the lecture hall.

By this time, the lecture hall was already packed with people. Agent Weaver made an opening introduction on stage and invited Fitz and Jemma to speak. Michael and Daisy found a spot in the front row. Looking at the warm applause around them, Michael smiled and casually glanced at the crowd.

Soon, his eyes locked onto someone.

A young boy with short hair.

Donnie, Donnie Gill.

Looking at him, Michael's mouth curled into a slight smile.

Warm applause suddenly broke out, and cheers filled the air.

Michael turned his head and looked at Jemma and Fitz on the stage, smiling and nodding. It seemed that the content of the speech was well-received, although... Michael hadn't really been paying attention to what was being said.

"Oh my God, what happened? Help, come and help me!"

Suddenly, someone stood up and shouted in panic. Ice appeared under his feet, freezing his knees instantly, and it rapidly began to spread upwards!

The sudden change sent everyone into a panic. The man struggled and shouted, but his body was freezing quickly. In a blink of an eye, he was completely frozen, resembling an ice sculpture. Students around him fled in panic, while Jemma and Fitz rushed over to help.

"Find an area of exposed skin. He needs to inject glucose to raise the body's natural freezing point." Jemma said as she opened her toolbox.

"I'm afraid I need more tools!" Fitz looked at the man and said in a deep voice.

There was no way around it. The man had been frozen completely—there was no exposed skin to inject glucose.

Jemma found the awl and was about to hand it to Fitz when she suddenly felt the air around her become hot. She looked up to see Michael walking over, his hands surrounded by flames, and the heat emanated from them.

Jemma and Fitz thought Michael was going to use the fire in his hands to melt the ice. But then, they saw a ball of fire shoot out from his hand and slowly attach itself to the ice.

Sizzle!

The sound of melting began to echo, and soon, the ice in that area began to melt.

"Is it ready?" Michael asked Jemma.

Jemma nodded quickly and hurried over to inject glucose.

The ball of fire didn't disappear or return to Michael's body. Instead, it flew to the chair beside him. Then, a loud crash was heard, as if something had shattered.

Daisy walked over and saw that it was a device capable of generating ice instantly.

Boom!

The moment the device shattered, the ice on the man's body also shattered and melted.

Huff! Huff! Huff!

The man, who recovered instantly, collapsed to the ground, gasping for air, his face still covered in ice.

"It's okay, it's okay." Fitz supported him and reassured him.

The man looked frightened and was breathing heavily.

Thunderous applause broke out. The students around them were so excited to see the man saved that they could only show their respect through applause.

"What's your name?" Michael asked the man.

"Don... Donnie."

"Do you know who tried to kill you?"

"No... I don't know."

Michael nodded and didn't press the matter further. Just then, someone nearby helped Donnie back to rest. Watching his figure disappear, Michael's gaze turned thoughtful.

"Do you know anything? I mean... can you foresee anything?" Jemma asked as she approached Michael.

Michael thought for a moment and shook his head.

He didn't need any premonitions because he already knew what would happen. Of course, that was assuming things unfolded as he remembered. He had no intention of interfering, though.

Jemma looked a bit disappointed. Michael's premonitions had helped her complete tasks several times, so she had come to rely on him. Additionally, this incident involved the SHIELD Academy and affected some of her junior students.

"What should we do now?" Jemma asked with some confusion.

"Go ask other students and teachers, maybe we can find something useful." Michael suggested.

"That's the only way!" Jemma agreed.

Everyone split up to gather information. Not long after, Michael and Fitz arrived at the dormitory. While Fitz could have gone on his own, Michael deliberately followed him to ensure the plot would proceed smoothly. Michael felt relieved when he saw Fitz enter Donnie's room.

Donnie, Donnie Gill—a genius with an IQ of 109, just 18 years old—wasn't as brilliant as Fitz and Jemma, but he was still very capable. The academy had originally planned to graduate him early and send him to a special place called the "Sandbox."

Due to his high IQ and the fact that he couldn't connect with others, Donnie had developed an introverted personality from a young age. Even after coming to the SHIELD Academy, he remained withdrawn, making few friends.

This isolation led to him being manipulated by a classmate named Seth, who was the one injured in the swimming pool. Whether it was Donnie's injury or the freezing incident earlier, it was all part of a plan. The energy in that small device wasn't strong enough to cause real harm, but it had been carefully controlled to avoid danger. The real purpose was for Seth to use Donnie's intelligence to solve an energy problem, which Seth could not solve on his own.

Seth had an investor who needed a powerful device to sell for money, and this investor needed Fitz's help. Fitz, being one of the smartest students in the academy, was the perfect target. The plan involved leveraging the psychology of Donnie and Fitz—both highly intelligent but socially isolated. With this strategy, Seth could convince Fitz to help solve the energy issue.

Because of the prior injuries, neither Donnie nor Seth were immediately suspected.

As Fitz entered Donnie's room, Michael remained outside, observing and ensuring everything progressed as expected. After a while, he heard some noise and subtly opened the door to check. He saw Seth entering Donnie's room.

"Huh? Fitz hasn't left yet. Why is Seth here? Shouldn't he have waited for Fitz to leave before coming?" Michael thought, surprised by the deviation from his expectations.

Several hours later, Michael saw Seth and Donnie leave with something in hand. After they disappeared, Michael entered Donnie's room and found Fitz lying on the floor.

He checked Fitz and sighed in relief—Fitz was only knocked unconscious. Michael helped him up and informed the others. He felt a little sorry for Fitz, who had been good to him and even made him battle suits. But Michael knew this was necessary. If Fitz hadn't been knocked out, Donnie wouldn't have turned into the person Michael needed him to be.

Seth and Donnie had fled with the machine, and now SHIELD was on the hunt for them.
